It's February already. The weather is
dry and hot, just like the course.
Everyone and everything needs
water, so keep hydrated.
LADIES’ NEWS
Some great golf has been played over
the summer. The ladies’ pro comp
has had excellent support with good
numbers every week.
Jodie Marshall has excelled with a
round of 50 points followed up the
next week with a hole-in-one on 4
January on the 17th hole.
Congratulations Jodie.
Ladies’ 2017 competition year began
on 25 January with a good field of 41
players playing for 18 hole gross and
net. A Grade gross winner was our
birthday girl Chris Hobbs with a great
86, B Grade Shirley Weir 68 net and
C Grade Helen Hayhoe with 73 net,
Well done ladies.
We would like to thank Andrew
Groves for his Lucky Voucher and all
We only had 5 people here for the
presentation draw on Saturday night.
Three times we tried to draw out a
name for $325 with no luck. February
sees it go to 4 draws and the Monthly
Medal is on the first Saturday, the
draw will be worth $350, so be here
to win.
The third Saturday brings one of my
favourite golf games, the Irish Par
event. It's a par event where you get
to take the shots where you want. It's
a bit of fun so make a group and have
a game.
Remember a bad day on the golf
course is better than a good day at
work.

FROM ANDREW OUR PRO
These are some “before” shots of our
practice fairway taken from the area
adjacent to the carpark.
In the foreground is the new
members’ grass tee area. This tee
area is going to be made a lot bigger
with pop-up sprinklers on it. There is
still a lot of work to be done to this
tee area. Watch this space (and the
actual tee area) for some “during”
and “after” scenes.

Our lady members are holding their
Annual Open Day on Wednesday
22nd February and are in urgent
need of extra motorised carts for
guest players. We are looking for
any members who would be willing
to hire their carts out for the day. At
present, we have entries that depend
on a cart so you would be aiding the
success of our day. If you can help
us out could you please contact
Andrew in the proshop.
