Competitive Coaching Agreement
This agreement, entered into as of the
day of
, is between
, thereafter referred to as “Coach”, an individual serving the
Matanuska Soccer Club. The Club requires services of a soccer coach. The Coach represents that he/she
is qualified and desires to perform the services required by the Club.
In consideration of the foregoing and the mutual promises and covenants set forth, the parties agree as
follows:
Services
1. The Coach agrees to participate in at least 2 training sessions per week and be present at a majority of the
league or Tournament games involving their Team. When a conflict arises, the Coach will work
with their Team and Club to arrive at an appropriate solution.
2. The Coach will make a good faith effort to attend all coaches meetings, seminars, clinics and
tryouts which are established by the Team and/or the Club. It is the obligation of the coach to
advise the Team and/or Club if an event can not be attended.
3. Training sessions will be run in a positive, structured, professional manner, stressing soccer skills
and tactics. The Coach will be evaluated annually and his or her position will be reviewed by the
Coaching Committee / Club. The retention on the Coach shall be solely with the discretion of the
Coaching Committee / Club.
4. The Coach is responsible for the actions of the assistant coaches, parents and team players, prior
to, during and after each game, practice and club event.
5. The Coach is required to maintain accurate records of all player rosters, equipment, medical
releases, parent / guardian information and emergency information. Your manager should help
create 2 notebooks will all required information; 1 for you as head coach and 1 for the manager for
credentials etc.
6. The Coach is required to hold or obtain, an E level license, or above. E and D courses are paid for
by Matanuska Soccer Club.
7. It is the responsibility of the Coach to ensure that at least one member of the coaching or
management staff is present at practices, games, or any club event.
8. The Coach is responsible for knowledge of the rules as defined by the AYSA and / or UAYSL.
Coaches are expected to follow all rules and regulations.

Services (cont.)
9. The Coach will be required to wear Matanuska Soccer Club approved coaching/ training gear. At
all MSC games including tournaments. (Coaching shirt / gear will be provided)
10. Coach is responsible for submitting an accurate Club equipment inventory 2 weeks prior to the
end of the each season.

2. Either party may terminate this Agreement upon
days written notice to the other party.
3. After termination of this Agreement, a renewed relationship is subject to review of additional

Independent Contractor
Coach is and shall be, under this Agreement, an independent contractor and shall not in any way at any
time be or become an employee of the Club as a result of this agreement. Coach shall not represent to
third parties that he/she is employed by the Club unless through a separate agreement with the Club.
Coach shall comply with all requirements of any applicable federal, state or local law, rule, or regulation.
