PRESS RELEASE «WALL EXPERIENCE»: WHEN THE TOUCH MEETS THE DESIGN IN AN INTERACTIVE GAME «Wall experience» is the project that Gemanco Design, the Apulian company specializing in the production of resin mosaic, custom‐made wallpaper and UV printing, launches at the III edition of «Materials Village», the platform of events created by Material ConneXion Italia dedicated to promoting highly innovative materials, projects and technologies.
Taking place during Salone Internazionale del Mobile, from April 12th to 17th at Superstudio Più, the most important and visited location of «Milan Design Week», in Via Tortona, 27 Milan (Italy), «Materials Village» involves more than 30 companies in a space of 1.500 square metres. The format consists in a range of houses, each of which dedicated to a special project connected with the material’s world. The Gemanco Design cottage is characterized by material and technological innovation "made in Puglia", and becomes a space where to live a unique and involving sensory experience. The visitor, guided by the touch ‐ that although being apparently simple, is a very complex sense ‐, enjoys himself and interacts with the pictures represented on the wall of the cottage. A cuckoo clock, a lamp, a glass of water on a shelf, frames, a small wall cupboard and a wall cube bookcase are activated by touching the various graphic elements ‐ represented on the wall ‐ that literally create live animations ‐, each time in a different way according to the diverse actions undertaken by the user. In such a way, the visitors live a real "wall experience" and discover the Gemanco Design multi‐sensory world. 1 Conceived with the aim of taking advantage of the most recent communications technologies at full, the project has been set up through a touch interaction system that activates a multitude of animations in video mapping. The house's facade is coated by a resin mosaic representing the typical graphic of the Gemanco Design brand. «Our participation in FuoriSalone ‐ declares Nicola Rubino, Gemanco Design general manager ‐ represents a great opportunity for showcasing our products and projects to a vast international public looking for the latest trends and the cutting‐edge of design.
