We want the players, spectators, and parents to have fun in a competitive environment. We expect all to treat each other respectfully. If a problem arises, the event committee onsite should be notified. Decisions made by the event committee will be final. Decisions may range from a play call to player or spectator ejection from the tournament. We expect this to be a great day of volleyball! Thanks for coming out! Determining Your Division - - Team divisions are 12u, 13u, 14u, 15u, 16u, 17u, Men’s A, Men’s BB, Women’s A, Women’s BB, and Adult Reverse Coed. Teams are 3 person, with the exception of a team of players who are all 11 years or younger. 11 and under female only teams may play with 4 players. Divisions of all female junior teams are designated by the age of the oldest player on the team. For example, a 13u team consists of 3 female players who are 13 or under. A coed junior team consisting of 2 females and 1 male player will play 1 age division higher than the male player or the age division of the oldest female player, whichever is oldest. We understand there are female players who may be more experienced and stronger than male players. This rule is set to provide fairness to the majority in the simplest way. A coed junior team consisting of 1 female and 2 male players will play 2 age divisions higher than the oldest male player or the age division of the oldest female player, whichever is oldest. An all male junior team will play 2 age divisions higher than the oldest male player, unless all players are 11 and under. 11 and under all male teams will play 12u. A coed team with one 17 year old male will play adult coed. A coed team with two 16 year old males and female player who is 16u will play adult coed. Adult coed teams must have at least 1 female player. Playing the Game - - Tournament play is pool play followed by qualified bracket play. Each net/pool consists of 3 to 5 teams. Parents should not interfere with the refereeing or scoring. Referees authorize service. Referees are responsible for starting the games on time. Teams are allowed 5 minutes of shared warm-up time for each match. Players should warm up during the game prior to their game to save time. Teams must know and keep up with their net schedule. Teams must be ready to play when the net is ready. If a team is not ready to play after the 5 minutes of warm-up time, that team will forfeit that game, and net play will continue. Teams must referee their net based on the posted schedule. If a team is not on time and available to referee at their assigned time, that team will start their next game down 5 points. If a team is not on time and available to referee a second time, that team will forfeit their next game. 2 junior players are required to referee each game. Adult games require 1 referee.
