SOFTBALL ENTHUSIAST,
We are very proud to announce the 19th annual NSA WORLD SERIES NATIONAL QUALIFIER. Every year our tournament
boasts one of the strongest 23u / Women’s Open, fields of the summer. And now the 18u teams are encouraged to enter.
Over 30 of the best teams representing the Northeast vie for our prestigious championships and a berth to the NSA Nationals.
Past years have brought teams in from CANADA, MAINE, MARYLAND, MICHIGAN, NEW YORK, NEW JERSEY, OHIO and
PENNSYLVANIA.
If you think your team has what it takes… come on and enter our tournament. We would love hosting your team and having
them leave with a great softball experience that they will never forget.
NSA and TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION
NEW THIS YEAR: NSA GUIDE LINES FOR NSA SANCTION AND TOURNAMET REGISTRATION
~ Teams must be registered NSA by going to www.playnsa.com then click on "ONLINE REGISTRATION".
~ After submittal of registration fees to the State Director (where the team resides) a sanction number will be sent to the team.
This may very from the method from state to state.
~ After receiving the State Registration Number teams may enter NSA tournaments in any state they wish thru the online
tournament registration. Teams will have to have their online roster completed before tournament registration is official. Do
this by going to www.playnsa.com click "Team Login" and then submit roster. Please note no paper rosters will be sent this
year. Teams shall be responsible for printing their online rosters and getting the parents signatures before tournament play for
youth teams.
~ To use online tournament entry go to www.playnsa.com then click on "TEAM LOGIN" and then click "GO TO NSA/BPA
TOURNAMENT LIST" enter required info. This will allow you to see and enter tournaments.

ABOUT OUR COMPLEXES
We have 12 diamonds with 5 lighted between 4 complexes, all within a three mile area. We are located in Hamburg, N.Y.,
which is a suburb 10 miles south of Buffalo. Buffalo is located in the Western portion of New York State. Hamburg has many
hotels and restaurants for out of town teams. Many area attractions are close by. Buffalo waterfront, Niagara Falls, 6 Flags
Darien Lake Theme Park / Resort

GREATER BUFFALO NSA NATIONAL QUALIFIERS
1. All teams must be NSA registered. No exceptions. Your NSA official roster including your team sanction number, is the
only acceptable means of registration verification, and must be with the team at all times. Proof of insurance and birth
certificates must be available upon request. YOU MUST REGISTER YOUR TEAM NSA ONLINE. YOU ALSO MUST
REGISTER ONLINE FOR THE TOURNAMENT.

NSA official rules will apply. NO EXCEPTIONS. The notification of intent to protest must be
made immediately before the next pitch. (exception: Player eligibility, this must be filed before
the end of the game.) All protests require a fee of seventy-five dollars (see rule 11 sec 4 in the
NSA rule book)

Ages: 18, under as of December 31st 2016 (No age limit for 23u / Women’s Open division)

Roster: Only the NSA official roster will be accepted and a copy must be mailed to the tournament director
signed by all players and parents 2 weeks before the tournament. The original must be available to view
at the registration table 45 minutes before the start of your first game. Proof of insurance is required at
this time. Registration tables will be available at all complexes. All team rosters are limited to twenty (20) players.

Tournament format: shall be round robin on Saturday, into single elimination play on Sunday.
There is a four game guarantee. Should there be inclement weather. The tournament director
reserves the right to change the tournament format and guaranteed number of games.

Teams must be available to play 15 minutes before game time.
7.
Home team in all round robin games, is to be determined by the flip of the coin. Teams must
have their own official scorer. Home team is the higher seed in all elimination games.
8.
No infield or batting practice on game diamonds.
9.
Games will be seven (7) innings except: (a) No new inning will start after 1:30 mins. of play.
(b) International tiebreaker after seven (7) innings ( c ) international tiebreaker after 1:30 mins.
of play if tied. The NSA will use the 12, 10, and 8 run rule in all tournament play. If one team is
12, 10 or 8 runs ahead after 3, 4 or 5 innings, or after 2 ½, 3 ½, or 4 ½ innings if the home team
is ahead by 12, 10 or 8 or more runs respectively, the team with the 12, 10 or 8 run lead shall
be the winner.
10. Championship games will have no time limit. The run rule will be in effect as stated in no. 9
11. Seeds for Sundays elimination round will be determined after the last games are completed
from Saturdays round robin format. This will be determined by: (a) best over-all record
( b ) least amount of run allowed. (c) runs scored (d) coin flip Note: Forfeits are recorded as a 7 - 0 score
12. Players may play for only one team and one age group during the weekend, even if their team
is eliminated.
13. Each team is responsible for their own insurance. Hamburg Breakers and NSA assumes
no responsibility for accidents, injuries or insurance.
14. The Greater Buffalo NSA tournament director, reserves the right to change the rules as
required.
