Game Notes:
Second game of the SFUYSA season versus Real Madrid U11 B team. A strong team
with good players in key positions mainly FW, CM, CB, and GK. I decided to send
a message to the players about being competitive so I sat four of the main
starters and key players of ours to show that whoever I put as starters in the
first 8 can compete at the highest level and that players who are usually
starters don’t have everything made must battle for their opportunities as well.
The lesson worked as the starters went up 1-0 in the first quarter and showed
that they were very competitive as well and the starters came in and had to step
up their game significantly. As a an observation when the starters were in the
game they were the ones to give up three goals to our four goals scored so there
is still much work to be done in terms of the competitive attitude. All in all a
strong performance from our players and a solid win to put us in mid table in
our league.
