Although famed DJ Mia Moretti now resides in New York, her native
Oakland still reserves a soft spot in her heart.
On the eve of her gig at The Oakland Standard launch party (details
here), we caught up with the beat savvy lady (who happens to be close
friends with Sydney from RosenMunns! Adorbs.) on her favorite spots
in the Bay Area.

"Cheryl's Closet is my secret little gem in Orinda," Moretti confides. "It's
a consignment shop I used to work at when I was in high school and
now my mom sells her aromatherapy there."
As for nightlife, Moretti says that when she's in town, she and her mom
dance the night away at Ashkenaz on San Pablo Avenue in Berkeley.
