T
he Scotus girls' golf team had one main goal this
season: improvement, and they worked hard to
achieve this goal. The golf team started out strong
by winning their first three meets. Throughout the regular
season the team recieved a number of top five finishes and
medal winners.
"There were some meets we wished we had performed
better, and some that we were really proud of," junior
Emily Carstens said.
The varsity took home the gold at districts at Quail Run
with a score of 399. This was the third consecutive victory
for senior Emerson Belitz.
"It felt amazing, and the team was very excited. I was
really happy with how everything went," Belitz said.
The team traveled to Lake Maloney in North Platte to
compete at the state tournament and tied for ninth with a
two-day score of 802.
"It felt great to play at state because I worked hard to
get there," junior Kaitlyn Enderlin said.
Even if it was not the best way to end, the team was
happy with how they performed during the season.
"It was a huge accomplishment. We did the best we
could and gave it our all," junior Maddie Neville said.
Junior Kendra Wiese had similar things to say about
the season.
"I am thankful for the girls this season. I am very happy
I made the move to golf!"
