RGF RGF A key priority for FieldTurf is to offer sports men and women the best possible playing surfaces in any season. With this in mind, our fibre market experts based at a yarn manufacturing plant in Germany design artificial turf systems tailored to every level of sport (PPG philosophy – Polymer, Process, and Geometry). 1 a HIGH Performance and extremeLY duraBLE playing surface Matching the solutions proposed for soccer, FieldTurf has developed top-ofthe-range rugby systems that have become established as a benchmark for both amateur and professional rugby, particularly in Europe. 2 Rugby remains a contact sport that places considerable demands on the pitch. For this reason, our rugby applications have always been designed to meet the most stringent standards in order to guarantee players the highest levels of safety and comfort. 3 With close on 20 pitches now installed in Europe, the Optimum RGF system is particularly well suited to intensively-used dedicated rugby and multi-sports pitches. MAINTENANCE RGF The benchmark system that combines performance and versatility! APpLICAtions Rugby Soccer Multi-sports In order to guarantee this level of playing performance, FieldTurf Tarkett SAS recommends that its turf should be maintained in accordance with its guidelines. Consult your FieldTurf representative for more details. FieldTurf believes that an artificial turf sports surface must be viewed as a system comprising a number of components: fibre, infill, backing and coating process. Understanding the specific features of each of these components together with their interactions fosters the innovation needed to create the most highly performing artificial turf systems. 1 Combination of Optimum RGF fibres: performance and comfort of play The Optimum RGF system is composed of a monofilament fibre combined with a second pre-fibrillated straight yarn. This method of assembling the fibres helps to ensure a dynamic, firm and dense playing surface. The density of the turf means that the Optimum RGF system is ideal for dual-use soccer / rugby pitches. When combined with the monofilament fibre which has excellent resistance and resilience properties, the structure of the pre-fibrillated straight yarn helps to encapsulate the infill, guaranteeing optimal playing conditions for intensively used pitches. 2 Various infill options available: safety and performance Layered infill mix of silica sand and cryogenic rubber Successive layers of sand and ambiant rubber (SBR rubber). Pre-fibrillated straight yarn Cryogenic rubber Sand 3 Flexibility of build: a version with or without a pre-fabricated shock pad underlay is also FIELDTURF, AN IRB PREFERRED PRODUCER available. This program offers a guarantee of excellence to clubs wishing to install an artificial turf pitch. Selected as one of the IRB’s preferred producers, FieldTurf is able to offer turnkey solutions to its clients. Designed to meet the most stringent requirements both of rugby and of the current IRB Regulation 22, FieldTurf solutions are in this way contributing to the development of artificial turf at every level of the sport. The range of options available ensure that we can offer you the flexibility you desire, creating a high performance playing surface tailored to your precise requirements.
