include recommendations concerning psychological support not only to people that had suffered
any kind of violence but also to professionals that provide assistance to these victims (attention to
care providers);
include services and strategies focused on the aggressor, once this ought to be looked as a public
health issue as well. It can be included within prevention actions.
CHAPTER 3
A. Actions across different forms of violence
Point 1.b:
Wonder if the topic 'b' adresses a surveillance system. If it doesn't we suggest a topic about
implementing a national surveillance system.
Objective 1:
Re “addressing common risk factors and thus, building synergies across violence prevention and
response programmes for different forms of violence” add health promotion.
Objective 3:
No global target proposed!
Re: “implement prevention interventions within the health sector that address common risk factors of
several different types of violence, such as harmful alcohol and substance use”, add health promotion.
Global targets:
Suggestion: By XXXX, XX (number of) countries will implement a national surveillance system to provide
statistics on violence disaggregated by, sex, age and relationship of victim and perpetrator
