teachers) of Direct Action (either past or current) at work in Australia’s democracy. Include information on
the following:
 Explanation of the issue Eg Roe 8 (Highway); 1967 Referendum; becoming a republic; marriage
equality; climate change; duck shooting
o Examples of categories of issues include: Social justice; animal welfare; environmental
protection; political activism

 Effectiveness of the direct action implemented (Eg changing policies, laws, behaviours, attitudes)
