Numbering SystemOdd numbers go to the Left and Even numbers go to the Right.
We work from inside out (1-3-5-7-9 and 0-2-4-6-8).
Play CallingWe call our run plays with a letter and double digit number. The letter is the blocking system and the combination has an implied backfield action.
Pass plays get a formation and a word.
Personnel NumbersQ = 1, B = 2, H = 3 and F/Z = 4.
HuddleOur huddle is a circle. The Linemen have their backs to the LOS, 7 yards from the ball. The QB faces the O-Line flanked on both sides by the
skill position players. We do things TOGETHER and we hold hands in our huddle!

Calling the PlayThe QB will give the Formation, the Play & the Snap Count… then repeat Snap Count ONLY and then Ready Break.
CadenceWe use a COLOR and a DOUBLE DIGIT NUMBER in our SNAP COUNT.
On First Sound = 1st Sound from the QB. (Ex. Set, Go, Blue or Hut)
On 1 = Ready… Blue 80, Blue 80 – HUT!
On 2 = Ready… White 20, White 20 – HUT – HUT!
On Hard 3 = Ready… Green 90, Green 90 – HUT-HUT! (Pause) HUT!
Move = QB will start the movement w/ READY! Continue with cadence as normal…
Shift = QB will say SHIFT and then begin his cadence…
Audible SystemWe can audible in 2 ways
1-We use a live color….
Red or Green to change the huddle call to a RUN
Purple or Blue to change the huddle call to a PASS
The color is followed by a number or word (denotes the PLAY)
2-The QB steps to the LOS and in a low voice says EASY……EASY and calls a play and Gives a starting count…..Sunday…on 1st
Sound…Monday…on 1….Tuesday on 2

Pass Protection CallsBASESCANSCATSLIDESOLIDPURPLETAKES 2-
Used as protection vs. a 50-front or 60-front or anytime we have 2-Backs to block.
Used with “BASE” – tells the back to “SCAN” weak to strong.
Used with “BASE” – tells the O-Line that back is on a free-release.
QB will call “ROGER” or “LOUIE” to tell the OL to slide and the RB to go opposite.
A term used to keep the TE in to block.
A term used to have the QB and Back execute a determined Play Action…
QB points out a LB to give to the OL as their 5th guy to block, then he tells the remaining RB that it takes 2 to the side he points.

If covered-get open If open-stay open
If man coverage-run away from it. If zone-sit down in an open hole
Get shoulders square to the QB
Get body between defender and the ball
Go get every ball when it is in the air. Catch it at its highest point …reach for it
When there is a hot, the receiver closest to the QB is the one who is Hot
QB's-use eyes to move defenders
When 2 Patterns are called the first is for the left side of the formation and the 2nd is for the right
