description
The studies in Economics-Eco-business are meant to answer the demand put
forward by entrepreneurs, searching for specialists in economics of environmental
protection. These specialists should demonstrate both adequate theoretical
knowledge, as well as, practical skills and competences required to operate
successfully in the modern economy. Today’s economy, being smarter and more
environment-friendly, is strongly oriented, among others, towards sustainable
development, implementation of environmental management systems,
environmental technologies and eco-innovation, in particular in green economy
sectors.
The main aim of studies in the field of Economics-Eco-business is to equip
graduates with knowledge and skills in environmental economics, enabling them to
apply the acquired knowledge in their future professional practice and to undertake
employment in various entities and organisations, operating in widely understood
business sector, especially in green economy sectors. Furthermore, the studies are
meant to prepare a graduate for playing an active role in a community, and pursuing
its objectives according to the sustainable development principles.
The instruction is also meant to equip the students with knowledge and skills
relevant for the study programme, to a large extent by contact with business practice
in the domain of green economy sectors.
The first cycle studies in Economics-Eco-business represent the practical
profile. Under the study programme 64 % of ECTS credit points of the entire
programme are allocated to the courses related to practical professional
education. The courses included in the programme concentrate to a large
extent on practical learning outcomes and thus provide the students with an
opportunity to acquire practical skills and to develop attitudes required by the
contemporary labour market. The study programme provides that the classes
aimed at practical professional training are conducted in real-life situations,
characteristic, in particular, of green economy sectors. These courses are
organised in a way that enables direct involvement of students in practical
assignments and activities of persons equipped with professional experience
acquired outside the university, yet relevant to the scope of the courses
taught.
The charge of 3000 PLN/year applies for Polish and the EU/EFTA citizens.

2500 EUR/year for students from outside the EU/EFTA, exclusive of an additional
