Oklahoma Power Player & Parent Code of Conduct
The Oklahoma Power operates as a 501 (c)(3) not for profit entity under the parent company of
Heartland Hoops Foundation. Our program is funded by parents and corporate donors who provide
opportunities for young men to learn life skills and teamwork through the game of basketball. Our
donors expect The Oklahoma Power Coaches and Players to be good ambassadors and represent the
program in a positive manner.
We are blessed to be part of the Adidas Uprising Gauntlet Silver Circuit for 2017. Our goal is to prepare
young men with the skill set and opportunity to showcase their basketball abilities to College Coaches in
hopes that many earn college scholarships. Our players come from many different backgrounds;
however, we expect that all players and parents represent our program in a “first class” manner. By
signing below, the players and parents agree to the following:













Attendance at all practices & tournaments is required unless excused by coaching staff
Players will arrive at practice & games prepared to start on time
Players will give maximum effort during practice and games
Players will listen to coaching staff and follow their direction
Players agree that “team” comes first and no individual player’s goals or stats will supersede
that of the team
Players will exhibit good behavior on and off the court while representing the Power
Players will adhere to all curfew requirements while travelling
No player is guaranteed any amount of playing time. Playing time is determined solely by the
coaching staff. Coaches will only discuss playing time with a player not parents
Payment of monthly dues by the first of each month is required unless other arrangements have
been made with team
Parents agree to exhibit positive behavior before, during, and after games. We will not tolerate
any poor parental behavior
Parents agree to allow the coaches to do all of the coaching during games and practice
Parents agree that they will not attempt to discuss playing time with coaches
Any violations of the aforementioned rules will result in suspension or expulsion from the
program at the sole discretion of the coaching staff. No refunds will be provided
