Mormon Cranium:
(based loosely on the Cranium: Family Fun board game)
Setup:
 Gather your needed equipment: You’ll need the following cranium cards printed on
cardstock, a game board (you can use the one at the end of this file, draw one on a
chalkboard or poster, or use the real Cranium game board), draw pieces, game pieces for
each team, a 2 minute timer or stopwatch, 2 nickels, 2 dimes, 2 quarters, and several
pieces of scrap paper.
 Choose teams. To play Cranium you need two or more teams. Each team needs two or
more players.
 Decide which team will go first. The team with the person whose birthday is coming up
next begins Cranium.
How to Play:
 The object of Cranium is to be the first team to move clockwise around the board and into
winner’s star where your team will complete its final activities to win.
 On every turn, your team gets one chance to move. The team to your right draws the next
card from the deck that matches your board position and reads it to you. If your team
successfully completes the activity described on the card before the timer runs out, you get
to pick a draw piece from the hat and move. If your team is not successful, stay where you
are and try again on your next turn. Remember, unlike other games, your turn always ends
after one card.
 Your first turn begins on the orange circle.
 There are two purple spaces on your way to the winner’s star. When you land on a purple
space, your team gets to choose a card from its favorite deck.

To win Cranium, your team must be the first to reach the winner’s star and complete a final
activity successfully. Here’s how:


First, enter the winner’s star on by drawing a draw piece from the hat hat would take
you beyond the star, and prepare to do your final activity.
On your next turn, the other team(s) must agree on the deck for your final activity
attempt. If your team is unsuccessful, you must try again on your next turn. If your team
is the first to successfully complete its final activity, congratulations! You’ve won
Cranium.
