The following chart shows what days are assigned for each league. Additional days maybe required to accommodate
team overflow. The league will use its discretion when making changes to days and times but will try to stick to the

Team Assignment:
We allow a maximum of 25 players per roster (only a maximum of 20 players may dress for any one game). Players
can’t play on two (2) teams at the same level. Players may play in 2 leagues but it can’t be in more than 1 level apart.
For example a player can’t play in the A League and the C-League but he can play in A League and the B League.
The League reserves the right to move players deemed too skilled for a particular league.

Team coordinators take full responsibility for the team. Coordinators are expected to collect all registration
forms and payments and turn them in as a complete packet by the dates indicated below.
Coordinators will communicate all SSHL game rules and suspensions to the team.
Coordinators will also be responsible for completing a line up sheet to be turned into the scorekeeper prior to
each game. This is important to keep accurate stats on players (especially tracking games played).
Players deemed too skilled for a particular division will be asked to move. The league reserves the right to move
any player to ensure parity within the divisions and this will be left up to the discretion of the local hockey
manager. If a player is asked to move, the local hockey manager will try his best to find him a team in the
appropriate division.

NEW PAYMENT PLAN FOR THE SUMMER SEASON
Individual Payments
In order to make it easier to track payments and provide the teams who choose to pay in a lump sum a significant
discount here are the payment terms for the 2010 summer season. Every player participating will pay a fee of
$449. The minimum number of players per team is 14 paid players. If you have less than 14 players on your team
the DPSC will add paid players at their discretion with the total number of paid players not to exceed 14. Once you
have 14 paid players on your team you may add sub players up to a roster total of 25 players maximum. A split
payment is available for all individuals with $249 due at the time of registration and $200 due July 1st. If you
choose the split payment plan, your CC number or post-dated check must be attached to your registration form
along with your initial payment. No team packets will be accepted unless accompanied by payments from each
rostered player. Teams of less than 12 players will not be admitted unless they choose to pay the Team Fee.
*Team Fee Option
You may choose to register/pay as a team. The team fee is $5600 but is only available to teams paying in full
with one check or credit card prior to the beginning of the season. We will not accept multiple checks or
payment plans if you are using the team fee option. If you pay as a team there is no minimum number of players
required for your roster and the DPSC will not add players to your roster. The maximum roster size is still 25
players.
Individuals Looking To Play On A Team
Individuals looking to play on a team are required to submit a registration form/waiver with payment. You will be
added to a team as a “free agent” Once a team is found, the local hockey manager will call you to advise you of your
team assignment and process your payment. After you have been assigned a team, you will be required to register
online with USA Hockey.
USA Hockey
USA Hockey has initiated an online registration process for players. As a part of this new process every SSHL
player is required to go online to register with USA Hockey. This registration will enable the USA Hockey
insurance and many other benefits. The registration process is a requirement for each player within the Senior
Stars Hockey League. Any player not registered with USA Hockey can’t participate in the league. There is an
additional fee that must be paid directly to USA Hockey at the time you register. All players, including
coordinators, subs, goalies, and each player on the roster, regardless of whether the team is paying individually or a
team fee to compete in the league, must register online with USA Hockey for the 2010-2011 season
Rules
It is each player’s responsibility to know the rules. The coordinator for each team will receive a copy of the SSHL
Rules and Regulations packet prior to the start of the season. We will post a copy of the SSHL Rules and
Regulations on our website www.drpepperstarcenter.com and have copies available at the front desk. All SSHL
Leagues at all Dr Pepper StarCenters will follow the same rules.
Game Format
► 5-minute warm up
► Each period will be fifteen (15) minutes in length
► Run time occurs when:
7 goal or larger lead in the 3rd period
15 total penalties occur during the game regardless of period
► No game shall end in a tie. If a game is tied at the end of regulation then a five on five, 5-minute running clock,
sudden death OT will be played. If the game remains tied at the end of OT then a 3-man shootout will determine
the winner. If the game remains tied after each team has had 3 shots then the shootout will revert to sudden
death with each team having an equal number of shots. No player who was serving a penalty at the end of overtime
may participate in the shootout. In any one shootout all players, except goaltenders, must shoot once before a
player shoots for a second time.
