Autumn. Exploring autumn natural materials
and autumn colours. Make hedgehogs.
Making observations- Observing signs of
autumn including using natural materials.
Please feel free to send in any acorns or
conkers which you find on walks.
RE- Special stories (Diwali).
ICT– Using a computer with a mouse.
Navigate simple computer programs such as
how to choose/change a game.
Literacy
Phonics- Phase 2 Letters and Sounds. Recognise
sounds.

books and use nonfiction books for autumn.
‘Sound talk’ words (break them down into individual
sounds).
Writing- Hear and write first sounds. If confident
listen for the last sounds of words.

Practice writing the sounds we have learnt in glitter, sand
etc.

With support. Write labels i.e labelling their lego

Mathematics
Number. Counting up and back to 10.
Counting out 1-10 objects from a larger group.
Counting accurately by moving objects to 10.

Writing- Copy/trace/Write names. Hear and write
the first and last sound in words, progressing to
writing CVC words (i.e cat, pin, man, top)
