5Point Film is on a mission to inspire adventure of
all kinds, to connect generations through shared
experience and respect, to engage passion with a
conscience, and to educate through film.
Do you seek adventure? Are you continually pushing yourself to learn and experience new things? Do you have a
dream adventure, but aren’t quite sure how to get there? If so, this project is for you!
5Point Film and Timbers Resorts want to give you the chance to achieve your dream! We’re giving 5 scholarships of
$1,500/each to students who are not afraid to challenge themselves, who are up for a life-changing adventure that will
inspire you and others to live the “5 Points” of our guiding principles.
ENTRY CRITERIA
Currently enrolled in a high school in the Roaring Fork Valley, Aspen to Parachute, CO.
Have parent approval
Have a dream! Think big! Whatever adventure means to you. Projects do no t h a v e to be ou td o o r sy a nd
should focus on giving back to supporting a community somewhere in the world.
Submit the application with the required reference form on or before March 1st, 2016
APPROVAL CRITERIA
Selected students are required to:
Express, embody and epitomize the 5 Guiding Principles of 5Point Film.

Exhibit leadership, creativity and enthusiasm while also being motivated learners and community
members
Be present at the 2016 5Point Film Festival Dream Project Award Ceremony (April 21 st, 2016)
Complete final project report and deliverables from your dream project by January 1 st , 2017.

Whatever your dream is, tell us about it. How long have you had this dream? Who inspires you? How does your
dream push you to become a better person? How will your dream have a positive impact on a community?
How does your dream adhere to our five principles? (respect, commitment, humility, purpose, and balance)

SECTION 3: Give us a general plan of how will you achieve your dream.
Now that you’ve told us about your dream, give us an idea about how you will achieve your dream. Is there a
class you can attend, a program where you can work, or a professional you can shadow?
Show us that you have thought about how you can achieve your dream. In addition to a description of your
project, please include an estimated budget that explains where you will spend the $1,500. Include any travel
costs of gear that is needed for your project.
