5.1 Each Tribal Council / Team is allowed only four (4) athletes in each division (2 male & 2 female).
5.2 Coaches will consist of 1 male & 1 female. Teams may share coaches where needed.
5.3 Alternates. 1 male and 1 female athlete may be listed as alternates for each age category. Should the
placement of the alternate become necessary due to injury, illness or absenteeism the team has until
the commencement of the games to slot in the alternate. The maximum number of players that will be
eligible to be registered participants of the games, issued accreditation and compete shall not exceed 2
male and 2 female athletes per age category.
5.4 Each Tribal/ Grand Council must have a minimum of one female coach and a minimum of one male
coach. Managers may be of either gender.

The Saskatchewan First Nation Summer Games shall be open to Saskatchewan Residents who
are of Status Indian Ancestry. Athlete treaty numbers are required as proof.

All athletes must play with their respective Tribal/ Grand Council teams they are a member of.
All athletes must be a member of a First Nation within the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous
Nation.
Transfer of Status Indians to another Tribal/Grand Council is allowed as per Saskatchewan First
Nation Winter and Summer Technical Manual RESIDENCY clause.

Saskatchewan Archery Association.

Each team is required to complete the attached registration form. This registration form is to be
submitted to the FSIN SCYR Department and the Saskatchewan Archery Association no later
than July 7, 2017.
8.2
COACH CERTIFICATION
Any staff listed as a coach on the official registration must be fully certified including theory,
technical and practical under the National Coaching Certification Program to a minimum of
Level 1/AGM in Archery or the equivalent in the Competency Based Education Training system.
8.3
PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION
Each Tribal/ Grand Council is responsible to send completed registration forms and payment
directly to the FSIN & Saskatchewan Archery Association.
Payment for Team registration fees must be issued on ONE Cheque per Tribal/ Grand Council.
Payment and registration are due to the FSIN & Saskatchewan Archery Association no later
than July 7, 2017.
9.0 Competition








All athletes will shoot 2 rounds of 20 3D targets at varying distances (1-30 yards).
All athletes must use the Traditional Bow or Re-curve Bow unsighted.
The event will be double scored.
Equipment shall be checked before the match and shall not be altered during competition.
Each target is numbered at the shooting position. The archer must touch the stake when shooting.
Practice on the course is not permitted. Practice butts will be supplied by the Host Committee on site.
A shooting group of archers (4-5) is determined by the host committee.
Equipment failures must be visible and agreed upon by the majority of the group. Upon agreement,
the shooter must have his/her scorecards initialed by the entire group as an equipment failure. The
scorecards of the shooter with the equipment failure will be totaled and initialed by the score keepers
before leaving the range. At that time, the shooter (with the failure) only must proceed forward
through the course to the range tent and notify a Range Official.










If there are three or more shooters remaining in the group they may continue shooting. If two or less
shooters remain, they must join the following group (unless by joining the following group it will make
a group of 6 or more) or step aside and await a range Official before continuing.
The Range Official will hold the individual’s scorecards until the repair is completed and he/she is
escorted back onto the range. The Range Official will determine the amount of time necessary to
make the needed repair. The time element will not be abused. A Range Official must escort all
persons re-entering the range to the designated target.
After each end, the competitors walk to the target (which they share). An arrow earns the score of the
zone it lands in. They are as follows: 1) Eleven X (11 X) for the smallest ring, Eleven (11) points for the
inner ring, eight (8) points for the outer ring, five (5) points for a body hit and zero (0) points for a hit in
the hoof or horn, not touching body color, any other miss or glance off. 2) In case of a disagreement on
the placement of the arrow, the Range Officer settles the dispute. The protest is brought forward by
the coach or manager of the team.
If the arrow is pulled before the tabulation, the person who pulls the arrow receives a zero for that
target. The score cards have to be legible, completed in black or blue ink and signed by the scorer and
the archer. If the tabulated scores do not match, the lesser value will be recorded as the official points.
If an arrow lands in the dividing line it earns the higher value. A deflected arrow is scored where it
lands. Witnessed pass-through arrows are to be scored as agreed on by the majority of the group or a
re-shot before shooters advance to the target. An arrow embedded in another arrow scores the same
as the first. A re-shot is not warranted.
When two archers or more have identical total scores, the process of tie breaking is as follows: a shoot
off will be held using a 3D animal target set as an unknown yardage, with an X placed in the center of
the highest scoring area. The arrow closest to the center of the X will determine the winner. If only
one shooter is present at the shoot off, he or she will be declared the winner.
Shooting stakes shall be designated at the site.
Field glasses (binoculars), telescopes and other optical aids may be used for spotting arrows provided
they do not represent any obstacle to other athletes at the shooting peg.
Prescription spectacles, shooting spectacles, and sunglasses may be used. None of these may be fitted
with micro hole in lenses, or similar devices, nor may they be marked in any way that can assist in
aiming.
The spectacle glass of the non-sighting eye may be fully covered or taped, or an eye patch may be
used.
RULE VIOLATION:




Any person in violation with FCA rules will be disqualified from the event.
Any shooter, who disobeys shoot officials orders, will be disqualified from the event.
Littering or improper disposal of trash will be considered as un-sportsmanlike conduct and could result
in disqualification.
If an individual is late they may start only where their group is at and will not have an opportunity to
shoot the targets already missed.

Protest Procedure
11.1
Sport Protests
The Archery Canada Rule Book will apply for protests. Protests must be made to the head
referee and he or she can consult with umpires, FSIN, and the tournament chairperson to make
a decision. Protests are allowed on rules application only, which will follow the rules of Archery
Canada.
A Sport Jury will consist of head official, FSIN, and a Saskatchewan Archery Association
representative.
11.2
Eligibility Protests
The FSIN Sport, Culture, Youth and Recreation Board will act as the Jury for all protests dealing
with the eligibility of Athletes.
All protests must be communicated to the FSIN Games Coordinator no later than 15 minutes
after the end of the competition.
Protests must be signed by the Team Sport Contact/ Chef-de-Mission or his/her mission staff
designate of the participating team. This designate must be submitted in writing.
All protests will be accepted with no explanation from the Board. All protests must be dealt
with within 15 minutes of the game or competition ending or game stands as posted.
A fee of $500.00 will be in place for all protests. This fee will be given directly to the FSIN Games
Coordinator. Cash will be the only accepted form of payment. This fee will be put toward the
Youth Championships if the protest is lost. Protest fee will be returned if the protest is won by
the Team protesting.

Equipment/ Competitive Uniform

Equipment
Bows and arrows will be the responsibility of the athlete.
Targets and storage bin will be the responsibility of the host committee.
All equipment will be stored daily by the host committee, no exceptions.
Matching team uniforms must be worn at all times.

A recurve or long bow with no sighting device.
A rest and plunger are all that may reside within the site window.
There will be no markings on the bow or on the bow string that could be considered as site
marks.
There will not be any type of draw check on the bow or the string.
Bow must be shot with glove, finger tab or bare fingers.
While shooting, the archer shall touch the arrow with the index finger against the nock, and use
a single anchor point.
The arrow shall be of the same material and of uniform length and weight.
A single stabilizer may be used that is no longer than 12 inches from the point of attachment.
Stabilizer: any device used for the stabilizer of the bow.
Competitive Uniform
All athletes must wear their Tribal/ Grand Council shirts with the Tribal/Grand Council logo or
team name clearly displayed on their shirt. (Track suits are acceptable)
Athletes must wear appropriate shorts such as Russell Athletics Shorts. Jeans and cut-off jeans
will not be accepted nor will long style board shorts or swim shorts.

Sport Delivery Plan
1. Terms of Reference
The Sport Organizing Committee (SOC) is responsible for the development and implementation of a plan
for each sport a coomunicating needs a requirements to other functions where responsibility rests
elsewhere.
Each plan will identify the facilities and conttracting responsibilities, sport technical requirements including
results and medal presentations, specific venue needs and support requirements such as medical,
transportation and storage.

Each tribal council can have up to 10 coaches, half of which need to be female.
4.3
Alternates. Each team is allowed 2 Male and 2 Female athletes per age category. Should the
placement of the alternate become necessary due to injury, illness or absenteeism from the
team prior to the commencement of the games being (August 6 scratch meeting), they will be
issued numbers. After this meeting, any alternate will be dropped from the roster and only
team members can be added to events due to injury or illness, maintain the 4 events/relay as
the maximum.

Each Tribal / Grand Council must have a minimum of one female coach and a minimum of one
male coach. Managers may be of either gender.

technical, and practical under the national coaching certification program to – sport coach in
athletics or trained in this area. The coach can be Run Jump Throw trained as well. ACM is also
mandatory. These coaches must have this no later than July 7, 2017.

athlete running in a relay must be entered in at least 1 other event. A scratch meeting will be held
each evening prior to the next day of competition. There will be no add-ins at the Marshaling area
or the start line.

12. Schedules:
12.1 All age groups will play on pre-selected days in morning, afternoon, or evening wave.
12.2 Games will start after previous match is completed with a 10 minute warm-up between games.
13. Refereeing:
13.1 Round robin: All teams will self-call their own match (i.e. ball handling, serves & line faults)
*Note: Good sportsmanship is the rule to be strictly followed. Disputes to be settled by a re-serve
with no point-gained, nor lost, though a Referee Supervisor will be on-site to provide rule
clarification.
13.2 Re-Pooled Matches: Same as Round-Robin.
13.3 Playoff Matches except Gold Medal Matches: Same as Round-Robin.
13.4 Gold Medal Matches: A Referee will call the match.
14. Referee Supervisors Role:
14.1 Ensure matches start on time and good order.
14.2 Oversee Round Robin, Re-Pool, and Playoff Matches (except for Gold Medal Matches).
14.3 Provide Rule clarification.
14.4 Intervene at any time as needed.
15. Upon Completion of each match:
15.1 Winners are to return score card and ball to competition desk.

17. Coaching:
17.1 Tribal/Grand Councils must name at least one Coach for each gender, which may represent all
teams in each Age-Division.
17.2 Coaches are encouraged to obtain NCCP Level 2 Beach Coach in-training status prior to the start
of the games, but there is no requirement to do so.

It is highly recommended that any staff listed as a coach on the official registration must be
fully certified in the Marathon Competitive – Introduction (ELCC) context, but at minimum be
trained in the marathon competitive (ELCC) context.
* Canoe Kids (Community Stream) certified coaches will be eligible to coach if the other coaches
hold ELCC certification.

10.0 Protest Procedure
10.1 Sport Protests
The Marathon Racing Council Rules of competition will apply for protests. Protests must be
made to the head official, FSIN, and the tournament chairperson to make a decision. Protests
are allowed on rules application only, which will follow the rules of Marathon Racing Council
Rules of competition.
All protests must be dealt with 15 minutes after posted results

Eligibility Protests
The FSIN Sport, Culture, Youth, and Recreation Board will act as the Jury for all protests dealing
with the eligibility of Athletes.
All protests must be communicated to the FSIN Games Coordinator no later than 15 minutes
after the posted results.

Protests must be signed by the Team Sport Contact/ Chef-de-Mission or his/her mission staff
designate of the participating team. This designate must be submitted in writing.

A fee of $500.00 will be in place for all protests. This fee will be given directly to the FSIN Games
Managers or Technical Director for Canoe/Kayak. Cash will be the only accepted form of
payment. This fee will be put toward the Youth Championships if the protest is lost. Protest fee
will be returned if the protest is won by the Team protesting.
11.0 Equipment/ Competitive Uniform

Canoes, paddles and life jackets will be responsibility of the host committee. Athletes may bring
their own paddles and life jackets or PFD’s as long as they are approved at the event by the
officials.
All PFD’s must be Transport Canada approved.
Canoes will be 16ft Clipper Yukon – fiberglass model – all canoes will be the same to ensure
fairness
Competitive Uniform
All athletes must wear their Tribal/Grand Council shirts with the TribaI/Grand Council logo or
team name clearly displayed on their shirt. (Must be same color of t-shirt or singlet)
Athletes must wear appropriate shorts such as Russell Athletics Shorts. Jeans and Cut-off jeans
will not be accepted nor will long style board shorts or swim shorts. In the event of inclement
weather, athletes may be allowed to wear additional competition clothing such as thin pants,
spandex tights, etc. Final discretion remains with chief official. Running shoe types are
permitted. Competition numbers must be worn during all events.

Saskatchewan.

8.0 Competition
8.1 The athletes in the Bantam, Midget Male & Female, Juvenile and Junior Female – 9 holes, Juvenile
and Junior Male – 18 holes will play a 2 person Stableford Texas Scramble each day.
The team with the highest score will be the champions:

For the Team playing 18 holes a day they must use at least 6 drives by each competitor.

For the Team playing 9 holes a day they must use at least 3 drives by each competitor.
RULES: As per the Golf Canada Rules of Golf 2016.
Parents MUST not coach participants and MUST stay 30 feet away from participants at all times.
Competitors may be penalized if coached by spectators or parents during play. The following
will also be implemented on the Conditions of Competition:



1st Offence – warning to the Tribal Council, Player(s) involved
2nd Offence – 2 stroke penalty to the Player(s) involved
3rd Offence – possible disqualification of the Player(s) and removal of the
coach/parent/spectator involved in the incident. The item will be written up as a
follow-up for the Games Committee to review on at another time.

Sport Protests:
The Rules of Golf cover all aspects of the competition. The event is sanctioned under the Golf
Canada Rules of Golf and will determine the outcome all related golf protests. The decision
made by the Golf SK Rules Committee is final. To re-confirm, protests are allowed for non-rules
of golf application(s) only.
All non-golf related protests must be made to the head rules official, FSIN and the tournament
chairperson to make a decision.
A Sport Jury will consist of head official or designated Golf SK Rules Official, FSIN and a Golf
Saskatchewan representative.
10.2 Eligibility Protests:
 The FSIN Sport, Culture, Youth and Recreation Board will act as the Jury for all protests dealing
with the eligibility of Athletes.
 All protests must be communicated to the FSIN Games Coordinator no later than 15 minutes

Competition:

Rules
· All matches will be played under the Laws of the Game as approved by the International
Football Association Board and published by FIFA, with the following exceptions for the U-12
Component of the event:
· Each team will have 8 players (including 1 goalkeeper) on the field.
· Games will be played on small-sided fields with the following dimensions:
 Length – Minimum 60 yards, Maximum 80 yards
 Width – Minimum 45 yards, Maximum 60 yards
· Games will be played using small-sided goals with the following dimensions:
 Length – Minimum 18 feet, Maximum 21 feet
 Width – Minimum 6 feet, Maximum 7 feet
· The penalty area will be two lines drawn at right angles to the goal line, 15 yards from the
inside of each goalpost. These lines extend into the field of play for the distance of 15 yards and
are joined by a line drawn parallel with the goal line. The area bounded by these lines and the
goal line is the penalty area. Within each penalty area, a penalty mark is made 10 yards from
the midpoint between the goalposts and equidistant to them. The penalty arc will be drawn 8
yards from the centre of each penalty mark drawn outside the penalty area.
· The goal area will be two lines drawn at right angles to the goal line, 4 yards from the inside of
each goalpost. These lines extend into the field of play for the distance of 4 yards and are joined
by a line drawn parallel with the goal line. The area bounded by these lines and the goal line is
the goal area.
· The centre circle will have an 8-yard radius.

Duration of Play
· Regular Time: 2 x 25 minutes
· Extra Time: 2 x 5 minutes (U-12) and 2 x 10 minutes (U-14/16/18)
· Round-Robin games can end in a tie.
· Placement/Play-Off Games/Bronze Medal Games: No Extra Time.

If a winner has not been determined after regular time, the games shall be
decided by kicks from the penalty mark as governed by CSA Competition
Regulations.
· Gold Medal Games: Extra Time.
 In the event of a draw after regular time, the Gold Medal Game will go to extra
time. If a winner has not been determined after extra time, the games shall be
decided by kicks from the penalty mark as governed by CSA Competition
Regulations.
6.5
Substitutions
Unlimited substitutions shall be allowed at the referee’s discretion during stoppage of play. A
maximum of two substitutions will be allowed by any one team at any one time at the referee's
discretion.
6.6
Game Sheets
Game Sheets must be filled out, signed by team staff and submitted to the Referee prior to the
start of the game.
6.7
Discipline
Discipline procedures and sanctions shall be governed by the regulations of SSA Provincial
Competitions. A Sport Jury will consist of FSIN, Tournament Chairperson and/or a Saskatchewan
Soccer Representative.
6.7.1. Automatic Suspensions
a. Cautions (Yellow Cards)
i.
A player receiving three cautions during the First Nations Summer Games will be
automatically suspended for one game.
ii.
A player receiving five cautions during the Saskatchewan Summer Games will be
automatically suspended for two games.
b. Ejections (Red Cards)
i.
Any player or team official receiving a red card will be automatically suspended for 1
game. The incident will also be reviewed by the Tournament Discipline Committee and
further suspension levied if it is deemed necessary.
7.0
Results
 Win = 6 points, Tie = 3 points, Loss = 0 points
 1 additional point for each goal scored during a game up to a maximum of 3 points
 1 additional point for a shutout
8.0
Tie Breaking Procedure
a) Greater number of points in matches between the teams concerned.
(If more than two teams are tied, this tie breaker is not used, proceed directly to b)
b) Kicks from the Penalty Mark
 Should teams remain tied, rankings will be determined by Kicks from the Penalty
 Mark as outlined in the FIFA Laws of the Game. The procedure for Kicks from the
Penalty Mark will be provided to all teams at the Pre- Competition Meeting.
Should more than two teams be tied, the procedure for breaking the tie is outline in Appendix 1.
9.0
Protest Procedure
9.1
Sport Protests
Protest procedures shall be governed by the policies outlined in the FN Summer/Winter Games
Technical Manual. In addition, all protests must comply with the Policies and Procedures of the
SSA as it pertains to Provincial Competitions.
9.2 Eligibility Protests
 The FSIN Sport, Culture, Youth and Recreation Board will act as the Jury for all protests
dealing with the eligibility of Athletes.
 All protests must be communicated to the FSIN Games Director no later than 15 minutes
after the end of the game.
 Protests must be signed by the Team Sport Contact/ Chef-de-Mission or his/her mission
staff designate of the participating team. This designate must be submitted in writing.
 All protests will be accepted with no explanation from the Board. All protests must be dealt
with within 15 minutes of the game ending or game stands as posted.
 A fee of $500.00 will be in place for all protests. This fee will be given directly to the FSIN
Director. Cash will be the only accepted form of payment. This fee will be put toward the
Youth Championships if the protest is lost. Protest fee will be returned if the protest is won
by the Team protesting.

Equipment/ Competitive Uniform

Equipment


All players of a team, except the goalkeeper, shall wear matching uniforms consisting of
jerseys, shorts and socks. Each player jersey, including the goalkeepers, must have a unique
number on the back.
If team colors are deemed similar, as determined by the match official, the team designated
as “home” must change to their alternate jersey. (Pinnies to be supplied by host and made
available at each field)
10.2

All matches will be played with size 4 (U-12) and size 5 FIFA approved balls.

Players shall wear shin pads and appropriate footwear (cleats or running shoes).

No jewelry permitted.

TIE BREAKING PROCEDURE:
KICKS FROM PENALTY MARK – THREE OR MORE TEAMS TIED
1. If three or more teams are tied the higher ranking shall be decided by kicks from the penalty
mark, as follows:
a. Three teams tied: each team is designated A, B or C. Three penalty shoot-outs shall be
played to determine team rankings (A vs B, B vs C, C vs A).
b. Four teams tied: each team is designated A, B, C or D. Six penalty shoot-outs shall be
played to determine team rankings (A vs B, C vs D, A vs C, B vs D, D vs A and C vs B).
c. Five teams tied: each team is designated A, B, C, D or E. Ten penalty shoot-outs shall be
played to determine team rankings (A vs D, B vs C, C vs A, D vs E, E vs C, A vs B, B vs E,
C vs D, D vs B, E vs A).
d. Six teams tied: each team is designated A, B, C, D, E or F. Fifteen penalty shoot-outs shall
be played to determine team rankings (B vs A, C vs F, D vs E, C vs D, F vs A, B vs E,
F vs D, B vs C, A vs E, D vs A, E vs C, F vs B, E vs F, A vs C, D vs B).

The Saskatchewan First Nation Summer Games shall be open to Saskatchewan Residents who
are of Status Indian Ancestry. Athlete treaty numbers are required as proof.
All athletes must play with their respective Tribal/Grand Council teams they are a member of.
All athletes must be a member of a First Nation within the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous
Nations.
Transfer of Status Indians to another TribaI/Grand Council is allowed as per Saskatchewan First
Nation Winter and Summer Technical Manual RESIDENCY clause.
8.0 Provincial Registration
8.1 TEAM REGISTRATIONS
All athletes, coaches and managers must be affiliated members of Softball Saskatchewan.
The cost of team affiliation is:
$200.00/team
Each team is required to complete the attached affiliation form. This form is to be submitted to
Softball Saskatchewan and the FSIN SCYR Department no later than July 7, 2017
8.2 COACH CERTIFICATION
Any staff listed as a coach on the official registration must be fully trained/certified in the
Community Softball (or Level I) under the National Coaching Certification Program (NCPP) in
Softball or the equivalent in the Competency Based Education Training system.
Must be certified in the Aboriginal Coaching Module
8.3 PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION
a. Each Tribal/ Grand Council is responsible to send completed registration forms and payment
directly to:

b. Payment for registration fees must be issued on ONE Cheque per Tribal / Grand Council.
c. Payment and registration are due to Softball Saskatchewan no later than July 7, 2017
9.0 Competition Rules
9.1
All competitions will follow the rules outlined in the 2015 Softball Saskatchewan Handbook and
Softball Canada Rule Book.
9.2
Teams will compete in a round robin format, followed by a single elimination Playoff Round.
Round Robin games and playoff games leading up to the medal final will be 90 minutes long
with no new inning starting after 75 minutes of play.
If within the time frame, games are 5 Innings for: U12 (Squirts) and 7 Innings for U14 (Pee
Wee), U16 (Bantam) & U18 (Midget). There will be a 15 minute allowance in between games
for diamond maintenance.
Medal final games will consist of five innings for U12 (Squirt) and seven innings for U14 (Pee
Wee), U16 (Bantam) & U18 (Midget) with No Time Limit.
9.3
In the U12 (Squirt) category everyone on the roster and in attendance must bat in all games.
There will be unlimited substitutions. All categories of U12 (Squirt) Boys and girls will have a
maximum of five (5) runs scored per inning in all games. If in the top of the 5th inning a team is
up by more than five (5) runs then the game is over.
9.4
In the U12 (Squirt) Boys and Girls category, the batter is out on the third strike,
regardless if the ball is caught or not, the ball remains alive.
9.5
Pitching Regulations

Pitchers in all U12 (Squirt) Boys and Girls categories may pitch a maximum of three (3)
innings in five (5) inning games. Should a pitcher throw (1) pitch this is classified as a
complete inning pitched. In the event of extra innings the pitching rule is not in effect.

Pitchers in all U14 (Pee Wee) Boys and Girls categories may pitch a maximum of four (4)
innings per game. Should a pitcher throw (1) pitch this is classified as a complete
inning pitched. In the event of extra innings the pitching rule is not in effect.
9.6
Line-Up Cards: must be filled out and submitted to the umpire at the plate conference prior to
the game. The Line-up must be verified by the Head Coach.
9.7
Mercy Rule
All games will end after three (3) innings of play if there is a difference fifteen (15) runs or will
end after five (5) innings of play if there is a difference of seven (7) runs.
9.8
TIE BREAKING PROCEDURE: Final Standings in the Round Robin shall use the following criteria
to determine the order of finish.

No games will remain a tie.
If a game is tied after seven (7) complete innings or five (5) complete innings in
the U12 category, the teams will revert to the International tie breaking rule
starting in the top of the eighth (8th) inning.
The final score of a game is also the score used for tie breaking purposes. We no
longer revert back to the last complete inning.
If the home team is ahead after 6 1/2 innings of play, they will NOT bat in the
seventh (7th) inning. This rule will also be in effect if the mercy rule comes into
play after 4 1/2 or 5 1/2 innings.
Two (2) teams tied
a) The winner of the round robin game between the tied teams receives the higher placement.
b) In the event the two teams did not play each other in the qualifying round (round robin);
i) The difference of plus and minus of total runs scored, with a limit of seven (7) plus or minus per
game for All games played in the Round Robin will be used to determine the higher placement. If
still tied then…..
ii) Least runs allowed by each team for ALL games played in the Round Robin will be used
determine the higher placement. If still tied them…..
iii) Total runs for each team (with a maximum of 7 runs per game) for ALL games played in the
Round Robin will be used to determine the higher placement.
Three (3) teams tied
A) If all three teams have played each other the winner of the round robin games between the tied
teams will receive the higher placement.
B) If only one team has played all teams they are tied with, and won both games, then they will
receive the higher placement. The two remaining teams will revert back to the two teams tied
criteria above.
C) If the teams have or have not played each other, the difference of plus or minus of total runs
scored, with a limit of seven (7) plus or minus per game for all games played in the Round Robin
will be used to determine the highest placement. If the two teams remaining have played each
other, the head to head game will be used to determine the 2nd and 3rd position. If the two teams
have not played each other, the plus/minus criteria will be used to determine 2nd and 3rd
placements. If still tied then....
i)
Least runs allowed by each team for all games played in the Round Robin will be used to
determine the higher placement. If still tied then.....
ii)
Total runs for each team (with a maximum of 7 runs per game) for all games played in
the Round Robin will be used to determine the higher placement.
Four (4) or more teams tied
a) In the event that four or more teams are tied, the following criteria will be used:
i)
The difference of plus or minus of total runs scored, with a limit of seven (7) plus or minus
for all games played in the Round Robin will be used to determine all four placements' If
still tied then….
ii)
Least runs allowed by each team for all games played in the Round Robin will be used to
determine the higher placement. If still tied then....
iii)
Total runs for each team (with a maximum of 7 runs per game) for all games played in the
Round Robin will be used to determine the higher placement

SCORING
The Tribal / Grand Councils will participate in a round robin play with two to four pools depending on
number of entries.
Pool ranking were be determined by the results of the previous summer games held in 2015

PROTEST PROCEDURE
11.1 Sport Protests
The Softball Saskatchewan Handbook and the Softball Canada Rule Book will apply for protests.
Protests must be made to the Plate Umpire and he or she will notify the Sport Jury consisting of FSIN,
Tournament Chairperson and/or Softball Saskatchewan Representative for a final decision. Protests are
allowed on rules application only, which will follow the rules of Softball Canada.
All protests must be communicated to the FSIN Games Coordinator no later than 15 minutes after the
end of the game.
A Sport Jury will consist of FSIN, Tournament Chairperson and/or a Softball Saskatchewan
representative.

type of shirt, pants and hat. The shirt must have a number on the back and Tribal Council logo
on the front.
