Taipei, Taiwan Job Description – Assistant Coach Men’s Team Term of appointment The term of appointment will be from May 1, 2017 until September 14. Duties and Responsibilities The Assistant Coach of the Australian World University Games Men’s Team will be responsible for: Assisting the Head Coach in selection of the athletes to be included in the team; Assisting in the technical preparation of the team Assisting the Head Coach during games; Ability to utilise video analysis equipment and prepare scouting material as required by the Head Coach; All other areas which are seen by the Head Coach to be relevant to the team’s performance at World University Games; Liaise, where appropriate and under the direction of the Head Coach, with the club coaches and other officials of the teams of the athletes selected for the program; Representing the team with media as required. In general, the Assistant Coach will be directly responsible to the Head Coach. Basketball Australia’s General Manager of High Performance will be responsible for the team’s approved program. The head coach will also be required to work closely with each of the men’s teams programs in BA and other BA staff with responsibilities for specific areas. Remuneration This is a voluntary role. Basketball Australia will pay all reasonable expenses incurred when the Assistant Coach is involved with approved team activities. This includes documented phone calls, travel and accommodation expenses. If the Assistant Coach is injured when involved in national team activities, such injury will be covered under BA’s sports injury insurance policy.
