Job Posting: Head Coach Position – Devil’s Glen Country Club
Devil’s Glen Country Club (DGCC) is one of Ontario’s pre-eminent private ski clubs and is situated on the
Niagara Escarpment south of Collingwood. The Club has over 2000 members including 335 athletes who
participate in all levels of the racing programs (U8 through U18, Adult, Freestyle and elite individual
disciplines). The Club has a strong core of 11-16 year olds that are committed to the sport and are
looking to be inspired to rise to the top tier of racing.
Qualifications:

The Head Coach must be a CSCF certified Performance Level Coach (or an equivalent
education)

The Head Coach must have 5+ years of general ski coaching experience – with a proven
track record of developing successful athletes/programs with varying goals of recreation,
fun and skill development as well as elite level performance

The Head Coach must be computer literate and comfortable working with Microsoft Word
and Excel

The Head Coach will be responsible for ensuring that Devil’s Glen has the best team of
coaches possible through hiring, training and performance reviews

The Head Coach must be a very organized team player who is able to work with the
Management team of the Club, his/her team of coaches and all Members and guest of
the Club

The Head Coach must possess the ability to deal with parents, athletes, coaches and other
stakeholders patiently, firmly, fairly and diplomatically

The Head Coach should be an strong leader who is goal oriented, sets high standards and
who has a high level of personal energy and stamina

Previous Head Coach experience is an asset

A Personal high level competition (FIS) experience an asset
Term of Employment: A full time seasonal position.
Salary: Negotiable, depending on qualifications, experience and time commitment. Compensation will
be competitive in the industry for a high level sport program manager.
