Baseball BC is coming to Victoria Saturday June 17th as part of their National/Provincial Female Identification AND
Boys/Girls Developmental Grassroots Festival Series…
Baseball BC is again very excited to announce the partnership with your Victoria HarbourCats. We’ve joined forces for a day of
BASEBALL FUN at Royal Athletic Park; the focus will be on Grassroots & Female High Performance. Grassroots emphasises
FUN and DEVELOPMENT for boys & girls 6-11 years or older if new to the game, while Female Identification allows females
11/12 years & older be recognized for Team BC and occasionally Team Canada. Baseball BC has 4 provincial all-female
divisions that compete in Baseball Canada Championships across the country; they are 14U, 16U, 21U & Women’s Open…
For the cost of $20, participants will be provided 2 hours of fun filled baseball activities & skill development, knowledge of the
game & valuations for Female be identified for Select Team’s. Also, Baseball BC & Victoria HarbourCats will have giveaway
items, including HarbourCats player autographs, tickets to their game, and more… Team Canada & Team BC Players will be in
attendance coaching and mentoring, including Clair Eccles & HarbourCats historic signing of the first female player in West
Coast League history. (Parents are welcome to participate in the Grassroots Festival & ask questions about any & all Baseball
BC events, programming, etc.)
Baseball BC’s Manager of Female Development says he’s thrilled in having the Victoria HarbourCats Baseball Club, owner Jim
Swanson & General Manager Brad Norris-Jones, support & encourage youth & Female Baseball by providing their home field
as the host facility for this exciting event.
So if you’re an elite player, average, beginner or never played before, come on down to Royal Athletic Park for Baseball BC’s
Grassroots Festival or Female National/Provincial Select ID Camp Saturday June 17th; then, compliments of Victoria
HarbourCats Baseball, come back to a game…

Identification Session – 2pm (sign-in 1:30pm) at Royal Athletic Park
