PLAYER & PARENT COMMITMENT 2015-2016
At Hythe Stars and Stripes FC we pride ourselves on our supportive, inclusive and fair approach to football. We
recognise that as a club we have a responsibility to ensure that players receive positive coaching, playing and
social experiences. We recognise that all of our players have different strengths and talents and learn and
develop in different ways. We aim to be the best that we can be and accept that striving to win is as important
as winning itself. As a club, we take our responsibilities seriously and expect the following from our players and
parents.

Always do my best, even if we're losing or the
other team is stronger

Be supportive of the Club ethos


Play fairly - I won't cheat, complain or waste time
Let the coaches do their job (and not confuse the
players by telling them what to do)

Never be rude to my team-mates, the other
team, the referee, spectators or my coach/team
manager

Remain outside the field of play and behind the
Designated Spectator Area (where provided)


Do what the referee tells me
Always respect the match officials' decisions and
never engage in, or tolerate, offensive, insulting
or abusive language or behaviour

Shake hands with the other team and referee at
the end of the game

Applaud effort and good play as well as success
and encourage the players to respect the
opposition

Make every effort to make sure your child
attends training and assist with transport to
matches

Pay fees when due

Remember that children play for FUN

Always ask before any photography & respect
some parents choice to not have their child
included

Never criticise a player for making a mistake –
mistakes are part of learning

Listen to my coach/team manager and respect
what he/she says

Talk to someone I trust, for example my parents
or the club welfare officer if I'm unhappy about
anything at my club

Always be ready to learn, strive to improve and
enjoy playing football…it should be fun!
