At home 3 On your bill, we show 1 both your current and previous meter readings. An ‘A’ after these numbers indicates an actual reading carried out by ESB Networks. ‘C’ means that the reading was taken by the customer, while ‘E’ shows that the reading given is an estimate. Any estimations will be corrected by the next actual reading of your meter. 2 Your MPRN (Meter Point Registration Number) is a unique reference number that identifies your meter connection point. 2 1 3 5 3 The DG (Distribution Group) code is an industry code representing your distribution use of system group. 4 The MCC (Meter Configuration Code) is an industry code identifying your meter configuration code. 5 The standing charge is a fixed daily charge that covers the fixed costs of supplying you with electricity. 6 The total amount payable is shown here. Saving energy is great for the environment and lowers the cost of your electricity bill. You can start out with these five simple tips. Switch appliances off when you’re not 1. using them. On standby, appliances can use up to 20% of the electricity they do when they’re switched on. 4. Use lids on your pots and saucepans to conserve energy and help your food cook more quickly. 2. With ovens and fridges, only open the doors when you really have to. This keeps your oven hot and your fridge cold. is spent on heating the water.
