Action
The Goals product screen is used when you need to
document the goals the student will be working towards
during the course of their IEP.



The Events screen displays with the Current and Upcoming
Events and Ended and Locked Events panels displayed.



Action
The Goals screen displays. There are 2 tabs in the goals
section; Select Goals and Plan Goals.

Start by making selections from the Search Goals panel.


Click the Select Domain
dropdown and select a
domain
Click the Goal Bank
dropdown and select the
appropriate goal bank
Select one or more items
from the Areas of
Concern
Key Point: Hold down CTRL
to select multiple Areas of
Concern.
The goals available in the goal bank are determined by your
district.
Once you complete the Search Goals panel, the Search
Results panel displays the goals associated with the areas
of concern you selected.


Notice that once you select goals, they display in the
Selected Goals panel on the right side of the window.

Action
The screen automatically displays with the Plan Goals tab
selected. The Plan Goals you selected on the Select Goals
tab is displayed in the Plan Goals panel.


Key Point: You must select
the goals one at a time and
set them up individually.
Key Point: The
beside the goals in the Plan Goals panel
indicates that progress monitoring has not been set up for
this goal.
The goal panel on the right is a description of the goal
determined by your district. The text can be edited by
clicking on Custom on the right side of the panel.
Underneath the Goal area you will find 5 tabs: Levels and
area of need, measurement and monitoring, progress
reporting, goal details and objectives.





Action
On this tab provide baseline and target information, and
activate progress monitoring. Your district may elect not to
use progress monitoring. If this is the case, you can just
leave this section inactive.







This tab allows you to set up when progress reporting will
take place. Under progress reporting, indicate how the
parents will be informed either by progress summary or
some other way. If you select that parents will be informed
by progress summary, you will need to indicate the
frequency with which they will be notified.

Action
The Goal details tab is where you will indicate who is
responsible for carrying out the goal and any additional
information.



Under the objectives tab, you can set up the objectives
associated with the goal. Fill in the place holders and
baseline and target with appropriate information related to
your student.
You can also add your own custom objective by adding an
objective title and clicking on Add Custom Objective. Fill in
the objective and provide baseline and target information.
Once you have filled in all the tabs with the appropriate
information. Select Save Goal from the bottom right hand
corner of your screen.
Key Point: The
beside the goals in the Plan Goals panel
indicates that progress monitoring is Active.
If you selected multiple goals on the plan goals tab, go back
and select the next goal and repeat the steps above for all
remaining goals saving as you go.
