Summer Fayre & Great Burton Pidsea Bake Off
This will take place on Saturday 8th July – look for the posters. Planned events include: an obstacle course led
by the army, meet the animals, demonstrations from the Karate group, Withernsea & Burton Pidsea Twirlers
and Zumba and also stalls run by the children themselves. There will also be a bar and a range of
refreshments.
Staff news
Ms Ward, our new Headteacher, will be visiting the school as often as possible between now and the end of
term. She is looking forward to starting and I will endeavor to introduce her to you on the days that she is in.
Ms Ward is also intending to be present for the school Fayre.
Play Equipment
We would like to take this opportunity to formally thank the two contributors that made the new play equipment
possible. Installation took place over Easter and the children love the new equipment. A huge thank you to
Tom Bunker who secured funding from Attrica and Centrica, who combined purchased two pieces of
equipment. Also we would like to say many thanks to Alan Curtis who removed the old equipment, saving the
school over £1000.
Community Lunch
The Community Lunch held last term was a huge success so we are organising another lunch for Wednesday
28th June and 19th July. If you would like to join us please let the office know as soon as possible. Places will
go fast and we can only offer a maximum of 10 places. Let your friends and family know, everyone welcome.
