Policies 2015 RaiderGate Hours of Operation RaiderGate will take place every Saturday home football game. RaiderGate will open 4 hours prior to kickoff and gates will close 30 mins prior to kickoff Participants are allowed to tailgate up to 2 hours after kickoff and then must exit the lot at that time. Vehicles entering the RaiderGate lot cannot leave until the end of the game or 4 hours after kickoff (whichever comes first). RaiderGate Pass Policies NO GLASS containers for food or drink will be allowed All beverages must be in a RaiderGate cup – no exceptions. All cups must be emptied before leaving the RaiderGate lot. RaiderGate cups can be obtained at the entry station as you enter the RaiderGate lot. No common source beverage containers or activities that promote the rapid consumption of beverages will be allowed at RaiderGate, including kegs, funnels, shots, drinking games, or other drinking paraphernalia etc. RaiderGate will be held at the R-1 Parking Lot on Texas Tech University campus. Passholders must check in at the entry station located at 15th Street & Detroit Avenue. RaiderGate passes are available to Texas Tech University students only. RaiderGate passes can be reserved on a first come, first serve basis while passes last. Passes are available to currently registered student organizations only. All organizations must be in good standing with the Center for Campus Life and Texas Tech University. RaiderGate passes can be reserved as either season passes (while supplies last) or for an individual game. Season Pass Policies o By reserving a RaiderGate season pass, the student or student organization will have the same reserved space(s) for all Saturday home football games. o Season pass holders will be required to come to the Union Activities Office Monday – Thursday between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm to pick up the physical passes. Any passes that have not been picked up by Thursday at 5:00 pm will be released for pickup to students on the wait list. o RaiderGate season pass holders must attend all RaiderGate tailgates to maintain their season pass reservation. If a season pass holder misses one RaiderGate, the season pass privilege is lost. The student(s) who obtains RaiderGate passes MUST be present in the vehicle entering the lot on the day of RaiderGate. RaiderGate passes must be visible in the vehicle at all times. No vehicles are allowed in the lot to drop off or pick up tailgaters or tailgate supplies. No oversized vehicles will be permitted at RaiderGate. All vehicles must fit into the parking space for which the pass was assigned. All vehicles entering the lot must be street legal. The use of motorized vehicles is prohibited in the RaiderGate lot, including four-wheelers, golf carts, gators, scooters. Skateboards or bikes are not to be used in the RaiderGate lot. Vehicles without RaiderGate passes will be towed at the owner’s expense. Respect the campus buildings, grounds, and landscape. Nothing can be attached to university property, including trees, buildings, handrails, lampposts, etc. Place all trash and recycling in the proper bins located throughout the tailgate area and campus. Law enforcement officers or other university staff may inspect tailgating areas as deemed appropriate. Portable restrooms will be available during RaiderGate. Pets other than service animals are prohibited at RaiderGate. Texas Tech University, Union Activities, or Texas Tech Athletics is not responsible or liable for accidents, damage, loss, or theft of personal property left in the tailgating area. It is the responsibility of each RaiderGate pass holder to secure tailgate supplies prior to entering the stadium. The sale of food and/or beverages or other commercial activities or solicitations are not allowed on university property. This includes giveaways, sales, donations, fundraisers, distributing literature or other promotional materials. Our goals is to have as many Texas Tech fans as possible enjoying RaiderGate. RaiderGate is a privilege to Texas Tech University students. The close configuration of RaiderGate and the RaiderGate lot requires that all students be good neighbors and conduct themselves in a manner that is courteous to other tailgaters. Individuals and organizations participating in RaiderGate are responsible for their own conduct and are expected to respect the rights of other members of the Texas Tech University community. All RaiderGate participants are expected to abide by the Texas Tech University Code of Student Conduct and all applicable laws. Texas Tech University reserves the right to suspend or terminate any individual’s or group’s privileges to participate in RaiderGate at any time for violations of these guidelines. Inappropriate behavior or conduct that is inconsistent with RaiderGate and University policies will result in the permanent loss of all tailgating privileges. Student violations of this policy are subject to disciplinary action by the appropriate university officials. Texas Tech University reserves the right to suspend or terminate any individual or groups privileges to participate in RaiderGate at any time for violations of these guidelines. Inappropriate behavior or conduct inconsistent with RaiderGate and University policies will result in permanent loss of all tailgating privileges. Student violations of this policy are subject to disciplinary action by the appropriate university officials. www.raidergate.ttu.edu Union Activities 020 Student Union 806-742-4708 Green Space Policies 2015 (in addition to the 2015 RaiderGate Policies) An individual reserving a RaiderGate Green Space pass as either a student or a registered student organization may reserve a maximum of one (1) pass. After all RaiderGate Green Space passes have been reserved, students will have the option to be added to a waiting list for RaiderGate passes. RaiderGate Green Space tailgating will be on a first come, first serve basis the day of RaiderGate. Please be courteous to others and only occupy the space you need. No grills/cookers/open flame will be allowed in the green space All driving aisles must remain open during RaiderGate to facilitate access for emergency vehicles. No hammocks, slack lines, or tight ropes may be used at RaiderGate. Tailgate amenities (including furniture, games, etc.) must be confined to your area and may not obstruct sidewalks or walkways. Tents and similar coverings must be securely weighted or anchored. Tents larger than 10’ x 10’ are not allowed at RaiderGate. Texas Tech University reserves the right to suspend or terminate any individual or groups privileges to participate in RaiderGate at any time for violations of these guidelines. Inappropriate behavior or conduct inconsistent with RaiderGate and University policies will result in permanent loss of all tailgating privileges.
