Theatre-Go-Round’s “Let the Good Times Roll” lives up to its title!

Theatre-Go-Round Dinner Theatre's “Let the Good Times Roll” has audiences buzzing about the
production's staging.
Well before any singing got underway opening night, people were talking about how differently
the room was arranged compared to other shows. At the back of the Quilted Giraffe Restaurant
was a new stage with microphone stands and bright lights shining that allowed audience
members to feel part of the production.
“Wow, look at what they’ve done,” said one diner to her friends. “I think this show is going to be
great.”
She was right.
The ensemble of five singers — Gregory Harris, Brendan Wenger, Shamara Turner, Beth
McKenzie-Shestak and Caitlin Harris — didn’t disappoint.
The cast sang chart-topping hits from the '50s — the decade of soda jerks, poodle skirts and malt
shop romances.
Far from being just another jukebox musical revue filled with nostalgic songs, the show is truly a
trip down memory lane for those who remember having their car radios up high and dancing in
bobby socks at high school dances.
Artistic producer Jon Putzke manages to cram one hour full of popular songs without
overwhelming theatergoers.
Audiences hear “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow,” “Book of Love,” “Love Potion No. 9,”
“Witch Doctor,” “Bye, Bye Love” and other favorites from that era.
Although the singers performed energetically on their new stage, they still managed to make the
experience an intimate one by walking off-stage and dancing around tables.
Whether they sang solo or as a group, the performers created a fun show.

22, 29 and Feb. 12, 14, 19.
