Welcome to the South San Francisco Parks
and Recreation Department Middle School
Sports Program.
New Program Format:
6th Grade
Girls Basketball

EVALUATION DAY:
Due to recent budget reductions, the Middle
School Sports Progam will be offering a new
format for the upcoming 2010 season.
Instead of the previous on-site school program,
students at all three middle schools will
participate in and represent the program as
South San Francisco. Basketball home games
will be held at Terrabay Gymnasium and
practices will be held at Terrabay Gym with
other practices potentially at Westborough or
Spruce Gym)
The Evaluation Day will have anyone who
registers placed on a team which could include
students from all three schools playing
together. There will still be no cuts.
While the City regrets having to consolidate the
program no sports were cut and anyone who
wants to play will have that opportunity.
The program will be offering 6th grade boys
and girls basketball for the winter. (See
specific information). Your child will represent
South San Francisco as part of the North
County Recreation League (N.C.R.L.). The team
will play a competitive schedule against other
league teams. Their game schedule is split
with games at Terrabay Gym and games away.
6th Grade Girls: Wednesday, January 20
@ 4:00 p.m. @ Terrabay Gym
6th Grade Boys: Wednesday, January 20
@ 4:00 p.m. @ Terrabay Gym

week during pre-season / Jan. 25
– Feb. 11).
Practice days to be arranged after
evaluation day.
League Games – Weekdays
(Schedule to be announced).
After games begin, teams play
twice per week and practice once
per week.
TIMES: 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. (Later times
possible based on number of
teams overall).
COST: $65.00 per participant
Participants MUST attend the Evaluation
Day to be placed on a team. Liability
waiver and program fee shall be
submitted on the evaluation date. Those
unable to attend must submit their liability
waiver and program fee to Terrabay
Gymnasium, 1121 So. San Francisco
Drive, South San Francisco, CA 94080
prior to the evaluation date.

of payment. You can pay by credit card
(Visa, Master Card or Discover), check or
cash. When you use your credit card, we
need your authorized signature along
with the card number and expiration
date.
DO NOT SUBMIT REGISTRATION TO
SCHOOL OFFICES.
