PARKING AND TAILGATING INFORMATION General Information • Lots open 4 hours prior to kickoff for parking and tailgating. We recommend you arrive early to avoid delays. • Tailgates can resume for up to two hours after the end of the game. • Tailgating is permitted in all lots (reserved and single gameday parking). • Once the game begins, fans need to enter the stadium or leave the property. • The University of Delaware is not responsible for the flow of traffic or entrances being closed due to congestion. Please plan to arrive early. • All ticket holders parking in a reserved lot must display an appropriate parking permit at all times for each space being occupied. Tailgating • Tents or awnings are not to be erected in parking spaces, or in such manner as to impede the flow of traffic or fire lane required by code. • The tailgate needs to be limited to the area immediately behind your vehicle. Failure to comply could result in loss of parking privileges. • Personal porta-pots are not permitted in the parking lots. • Charcoal grills are permitted but coals must be disposed of in aluminum cans provided in each lot. • Gas grills are permitted. • Loud music is not permitted in the parking lots. • UD differentiates between a “party” and a “tailgate”. A party may be disbanded and attendees asked to leave. • UD Police will locate and identify parties and hold individuals/organizations accountable for illegal activities. • A party may have some of the following characteristics: o Common containers such as kegs, party balls, large containers of mixed drinks, beer tubs, trash cans of beer; o Loud music; o Drinking games; o Underage drinkers; o Lack of food; o Excessive quantities of alcohol; and o Large numbers of people • About alcohol consumption: o Prior to kick-off, possession of open alcoholic beverages by those of legal drinking age is permitted only within the confines of the designated football gameday parking lots. o All alcohol must be consumed prior to entry into the stadium. o Alcohol consumption is not allowed while in line at the entry gates. o Public consumption of alcohol in the parking lots while the game is being played is not allowed. o Common containers, as described above, are prohibited on UD property. Excessive quantities of alcohol will be subject to removal or confiscation. (OVER) o Persons who are visibly intoxicated may be denied entry to the stadium and have their tickets confiscated by stadium staff. o Proper identification must be produced upon request. General Parking • General parking is $15 per home game for patrons who do not have reserved parking (we do not accept bills over $20). • Please refer to the map for designated general parking lots. • Anyone parking in a reserved lot who does not have a reserved parking pass will be subject to having their vehicle towed at their own expense. • Parking passes are non-transferrable. • Several gameday parking lots are directed parking, therefore we thank you in advance for following all directions given by parking lot personnel. • Patrons are NOT permitted to save spaces for friends that are arriving at a later time. • Patrons are NOT permitted to park in driveways, exits or fire lanes. All parking must be in designated spaces as directed by the parking lot staff. Oversized Vehicles • Any large vehicles, such as U-Hauls, buses, and RV’s, must purchase a proper pass 72 hours in advance, by calling (302) 831-2257. • The single game pass is $75 (plus overnight shipping) and parking is located in the designated area of the parking lot off of Route 4. Handicapped Parking • Handicapped parking ($15) is available on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the game. • A state approved handicapped parking permit is necessary for access to all handicapped parking areas. • Handicapped parking areas will be limited and located directly behind the Bob Carpenter Center.
