If you have any questions about the position, please contact: Victoria Ledford and Asli Salihoglu ([email protected]) Description: Responsible for organizing social events both on and off campus, in order to create unity between the multiple facets of BLAST and to incorporate new members. Prerequisite: substantial experience with social dancing (only one genre required, but varied experience is preferred). Responsible for organizing a kick-off event and 1-2 other thematic social events each quarter both on and off campus. Organization includes developing the interior atmosphere of each event and coordinating with facilities to find new off-campus venues. Coordinate with publicity to attract new members and maximize social event attendance from existing members of the multiple facets of BLAST. General Exec Responsibilities: Attend weekly board meetings. Willingness to learn how to teach basic lessons. As social chair, you will need to be able to teach a basic lesson in a variety of styles. Willingness to perform at events around campus. Attend general BLAST events, such as kick-offs and socials. Name: Current year: Number of years in BLAST: 1.
