ANNOUNCEMENT:
The D.M.C.C. Incorporated, hereafter called the PROMOTER will conduct a Pony Express for Senior bikes at locations above for
Rd1, Rd2 & Rd3 on 23 July, 13 August and 17 September 2017 respectively
JURISDICTION:
The abovementioned meeting has been authorised by MANT which has issued the Motorcycling Australia Permit Number 2017-08
and is open to holders of current Motorcycling Australia Current Senior MA licences or one event licences.
The meeting will be held in accordance with the current General Competition Rules (GCR’s), these Supplementary Regulations,
and any final instructions approved by MANT.
BY ENTERING THIS MEETING ALL PARTIES AGREE TO COMPLY WITH THESE RULES, REGULATIONS, BY-LAWS AND
INSTRUCTIONS.
ENTRIES:
Entries open forthwith UP TO 9.00AM ON RACE DAYS
In the case of postponement or abandonment of the meeting, all or any part of the entry fee may be retained by the Club/Promoter,
if such retention is approved by MANT.
Only entries received on the official entry form that is accompanied by the correct fee will be accepted.
All entrants between 16 and U18 years of age must be “signed in” by their parent/guardian. Temporary guardian must be over 18
years of age and must have authority of parent/guardian with a completed DEED OF APPOINTMENT OF TEMPORARY
GUARDIAN form. These forms are available from the Race Secretary or from MANT website at http://www.mant.org.au/enus/forms.aspx
NOTE:- LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AND THE RETURN OF ENTRY FEES FOR ANY RIDER WITHDRAWING
FROM THE MEETING IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE CLUB/PROMOTER.
INSURANCE:
National Personal Accident Scheme provides basic cover for death and permanent disability.
Ambulance Insurance is compulsory for all licencees.
IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT COMPETITORS GIVE CONSIDERATION TO TAKING OUT WEEKLY BENEFITS
INSURANCE.
MEDICAL SERVICES:
Senior St Johns Ambulance volunteers will be in attendance.
ENTRY FEE:
$60 per senior rider per event, plus $75 One-event licence, if don’t have a full MA licence; plus $25 one event membership, if not a
full member. Enviro mats are available for purchase of $5.
Payment by cash, money order, business cheque or direct deposit by COB on Friday before each event. ANY FEES FOR
DISHONOURED CHEQUES WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ENTRANT.

AWARDS AND PRIZEMONEY:
Point score for Ironman will contribute to Mr Enduro (Expert only) and Club Champion awarded at the end of year Presentation.
Half Point score for Pony Teams will contribute to Mr Enduro (Expert only) and Club Champion awarded at the end of year
Presentation only if you are a full financial DMCC member. 29th April 2017 is the cut off date for membership renewal.
Ironman will receive trophies for 1st, 2nd & 3rd for the series.
Pony Express competitors will receive trophies for 1st, 2nd & 3rd for the series.
Trophies will be awarded at end of year presentation in December
ENTRIES TO CONSTITUTE A CLASS:
To constitute a class, the number of contestants entered and competing in each class shall be shall be at the discretion of the
Clerk of Course but is usually 5
Should there be insufficient entries in any class of competition, the decision to run or cancel the class, or to combine events and
re-distribute any awards and / or prize money, will be at the discretion of the club/promoter, subject to MANT approval.
TIMETABLE:

Mandatory riders briefing

Racing will commence after riders briefing in 4 waves of bikes, in the classes of competition
Variation of the times will be at the discretion of the clerk of course and steward and are subject to change without notice.
ALL competitors MUST attend riders briefing, which will include final instructions.
For the purposes of drug and alcohol testing, the commencement of the meeting will be deemed to be at the start of machine
examination with the completion of the meeting for the participant being when the participant has completed the event.
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION AND RACING FORMAT:
The track will be approximately a 15 - 25 km natural terrain loop. The track will be marked with pink tape. Final details will be
advised at riders briefing.
Riders / teams to compete for 3 hours,
Starting will be with a green flag at the discretion of the starter.
No overtaking allowed past the scoring area.
All riders must go past the chequered flag from the direction of racing to complete the race fully equipped with all riding gear.
MACHINES AND RIDERS:
All machines entered must comply with the current GCRs for Enduro competition.
Pony Express partners may have a maximum on 2 bikes between them, of which both must be scrutineered before the event.
Ironman can have maximum 1 bike.
Pony Express teams can continue their series entry if one of the team members is unable to make a round of racing. One of the
original team riders can ride the race by themselves if they choose but must also pay the race entry fees their partner would be
eligible for, except for the MA fee. New members cannot be recruited to keep an existing team in the series points.
It is highly recommended that all riders have a camel back or an equivalent hydrating system. Gloves and goggles are mandatory.
You must have an Enviro Mat to park your bike on in the pits and use when fuelling bike
RIDING NUMBERS:
Wherever possible, competitors will be allocated their registered riding number or their preferred riding number. All others will be
allocated numbers at the club / promoters discretion.
All number plates on all machines MUST comply with the GCRs.
Pony Express teams must display the same number on their bikes
All riders must make their number known when passing scorer.
DRUG AND OR ALCOHOL TESTING:
All competitors and officials are advised that as part of the MA drug education program, drug testing may take place at any
competition in accordance with Australian Sports Commission policy as implemented by the Australian Sports Drug Agency.
If any doubts exist over banned substances it is recommended competitors contact the Drugs in Sport Hotline, tel 1800 020 506.
When drug testing takes place, the payment of prize money may be delayed at the MANT discretion until the results of the tests
are known.
CODE OF CONDUCT:
All competitors, officials and parents are reminded of the Motorcycling Australia by-law - CODE OF CONDUCT (as stipulated in
the GCRs), which is a guide to appropriate behaviour at all motorcycle race meetings. This CODE OF CONDUCT applies to this
Meeting and will be enforced.
MERCY RULE & PENALTIES:
After communication from a Marshall to the Clerk of Course, Steward or Scorers, Pony Express teams may nominate to
waive/cancel a lap and have the other team rider restart the lap. Other rider must advise the Clerk of Course, Steward or Scorer
before commencing.
All riders must keep as close to track markers as possible. No riding in the reverse direction.
All refuelling must be done with the engine off and enviro mat under bike.
GST:
The Goods and Services Tax affects the payment of prizemoney. If you do not provide an ABN or declare the sport is a hobby, the
Promoter must withhold 48.5% of prizemoney over $75.00 which is otherwise payable to you. Please tick one of the boxes on the
entry form and if appropriate provide your ABN to ensure the full amount of prize money is paid to you.
SPECIAL NOTES AND WARNINGS:
Slower riders and all marshals are to give way to faster riders when deemed safe.

HEREBY AGREE with the persons, organisations and bodies corporate whose names appear in Schedule 1 (hereinafter collectively called “the
organisers”) that I am by this agreement entitled to participate in the motorcycle meeting listed in Schedule 2 (hereinafter called “the meeting”) at the
venue listed in Schedule 3 (hereinafter called “the venue”) on the terms and conditions set out in this document.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISKS, DANGERS AND OBLIGATIONS
2. I ACKNOWLEDGE that the sport of motorcycle racing is dangerous and that by engaging in the sport and participating in the race meeting I take
and am exposed to certain risks and dangers and am under certain obligations as follows:
a) that I may be injured, physically or mentally, and may be killed;
b) that my machinery or equipment may be damaged, lost or destroyed;
c) that other competitors may ride dangerously or with lack of skill;
d) that track or event conditions may be hazardous and may vary without warning or predictability;
e) that the organisers, officials, landowners/track operators and any agent or representatives of those in charge of race meetings are
frequently obliged to make decisions under pressure of time and/or events;
f) that any policy of insurance of or in respect of my life or physical or mental health may be avoided;
g) that there may be no or inadequate facilities for treatment or transport of me if I am injured;
h) that I have an obligation to myself and others to compete safely and within the rules of competition.
INDEMNITY GIVEN TO ORGANISERS
3. IN CONSIDERATION of the acceptance of me as an entrant in the meeting I AGREE TO INDEMNIFY the organisers, landholders and each of
them in the following manner:
a) that I participate in the race meeting at my sole risk and responsibly;
b) that I accept the venue as it stands with all or any defect hidden or exposed;
c) that I indemnify and hold harmless the organisers, their respective servants, agents or officials against any actions or claims which may be made
by me or on my behalf or by other parties for or in respect of or rising out of my death or any injury, loss or damage caused to me or to my
machine or equipment whether caused by negligence, breach of contract or in any manner whatsoever.
