COACHES/MANAGERS NOTES FOR YOUTH PLAYOFFS - 2016
UNDER 14 PREMIER GIRLS
1. The referees will be paid by the Prince Edward Island Soccer Association
(PEISA), NOT by the home team.
2.
When the seedings are determined at the end of the regular season, the 2016
Playoff Schedule(listed in the menu under your specific league @
www.peisoccer.com) will change to list the teams in their seeding position. This
schedule will be updated the day after each round of the play-offs.
3. When you know your schedule, contact Kristyn Visser, referee assignor, AS
SOON AS POSSIBLE to confirm field location if different than on the schedule.

4. Playoff games WILL NOT be rescheduled. A VERY legitimate reason and
consent must be granted by the PEISA Youth or respective Senior Director in
order to re-schedule a game.
5. Game results must be submitted within 1 hour after the game to the newspapers
and radio stations.
The game report must include eg Subway Under 14 Girls Premier League, goal
scorers and keeper(if shut out), halftime and full time score.

6. Game sheets from the playoff’s MUST be submitted by 9:00 AM the next
morning by fax to 569-7693, in person to the Soccer Office (40 Enman Crescent),
scanned, or pic via phone to [email protected] by the home team.

* All overtime will be played to completion. No Golden Goal. The referee may
shorten the overtime length at the start due to darkness.
* Overtime & penalty shots will only occur in games which need to declare a winner.
The last round robin match in both groups will be played to a
conclusion if the other team in the pool has zero points.
* For U12 Penalty Kicks – there are only 3 penalty takers per team and then sudden
death if still tied.
8. Only those players and team staff listed on the team’s July 31 Roster are eligible
to sit on the bench for play-off matches.
9. The home team is responsible to provide a game sheet (filled in with their players
and staff) to the visiting team 20 minutes prior to the start of the game. The
visiting team must hand in the game sheet to the officials at least 10 minutes prior
to the game.
DETERMING GROUP STANDINGS AFTER PLAYOFF ROUND ROBIN
Point System
Win = 3 pts
Tie = 1 pt.
Loss = 0 pts.
If you are in a group of 2 – 2 game total goal series, group winner is
declared by:
A) Most goals scored
B) If still tied, overtime in game 2
- U12 no overtime
- U14 is 2X10 minutes
- U16 is 2x15 minutes
C) Penalty kicks
Group Tie Breakers - If two (2) teams are tied in points in all
group matches:
a) previous match results(if applicable)
b) goal difference (Max +5/game)from all group matches
c) most goals scored in all group matches
d) least goals against in all group matches
e) highest seed will advance
The following must be used to completion if three (3) teams are
tied in points in all group matches:
a) Greater goal difference in matches between the teams concerned.
b) Greater number of goals scored in all matches between the teams
concerned.
c) Greater goal difference in all group matches.
d) Greater number of goals scored in all group matches
e) Least number of goals allowed in all group matches
f) highest seed will advance
