If you have yet to pay your registration fee, you will pay at this time.
Sponsored Golfers, you will turn in your pledge sheets with names, addresses and amount pledged at this
time. Our volunteers will send thank you notes and envelopes to your sponsors while you play.
You will receive a nice Adidas Clima-Lite Golf shirt. If your shirt fits and you are willing, we would love for you
to wear this shirt during play. Richmond County will receive White shirts, and Columbia County will receive
Black shirts

Everyone will return to the Clubhouse between each of the 3, 9-hole Sessions
Chick-fil-A lunch will be provided between Session 1 and Session 2

COMPETITION FORMAT:
 You will be playing with a partner and representing your County (Richmond or Columbia) in 3, 9-hole Fourball
Matches.
 There are 72 total players in the Tournament. Those players are broken down as follows:
o 36 2-man Teams
o 18 Teams representing Richmond Co & 18 Teams representing Columbia Co.
o 6 Flights with 6 Teams in each Flight—3 from Richmond Co & 3 from Columbia Co
 Your 2-man Team will be placed in one of six Flights based upon the Handicap submitted at Registration.
 Your Team will compete against each of the 3 Teams in your Flight that are from the opposing County. (Ex.: If you
are a Columbia Co Team competing in Flight #2, then you will play each of the 3 Richmond Co Teams that are in
Flight #2--Richmond Co. Team #1 on the first 9-holes, Richmond Co. Team #2 on the second 9-holes, and
Richmond Co. Team #3 on the third 9-holes.)
SCORING: Fourball Match Play with Handicaps
 Scoring will be Match Play, not Stroke Play.
 All 4 players will play their own ball all the way through each Hole.
 The player with the lowest Net score wins the Hole for their Team. (Feel free to use common Match Play etiquette
to concede putts “in the leather”, and pickup when you cannot win the Hole.)
 A Hole Win will earn your Team and your County 1 Point.
 A Halved Hole (that’s golf-speak for a Tie) will earn a ½ Point for each Team and each County.
 The Team that wins the most Holes will Win the Match and be awarded 1 Bonus Point for their Team and their
County. If the Match ends in a Tie (4 ½ to 4 ½ ) each Team will be awarded ½ Bonus Point for a final score of 5 to
5.
 A total of 10 points will be awarded in each Match.
 Points will accumulate over all 27-holes. Thus, be sure to play out all 9-holes in each of your 3 matches to ensure
that all points are awarded.
PRIZES:
 Competition Prizes will be awarded for each of the following:
o “The Young Life Cup”—awarded to the County with most cumulative Points. The Cup will be held for the
Year by the Captain of the winning County.
o Flight Winners (6)—awarded to the Team in each Flight that wins the most Points
o Flight Runners-Up (6)—awarded to the Team in each Flight that wins the 2nd most Points
o Overall Winners (2)—awarded to the Richmond Co Team that wins the most Points and the Columbia Co
Team that wins the most Points
 Other Prizes include:
o Closest to the Pin (3)—awarded to the individuals that land their Tee Shots closest to the pin one par-3
Hole on each of the 3 Nines.
o Most Money Raised—awarded to those who chose to enter the Tournament as “Sponsored Golfers”.
o Raffle Prizes—at check-in each participant will have the opportunity to purchase Raffle Tickets for $20
each. (NOTE: all “Sponsored Golfers” will receive 1 COMPLIMENTARY Raffle Ticket.) A list of Raffle
Prizes will be posted at Check-In. Raffle Prize Winners will be selected during play and the Winning
Numbers posted at the Scorer’s Table.
