GDT PRICE INDEX – FIVE YEAR VIEW • The second quarter (Q2) is characterised by a steady increase in the GDT Price Index. Bidder participation is the number of bidders placing bids in Round 1 of a Trading Event. • Q2 witnessed a 5% higher average rate of participation per event, compared with Q1 2016 (all product groups). • The average number of winning bidders was 3% lower over this period. • On average, 75% of Participating Bidders were successful in winning product during this period. • Consistent with previous quarters, SMP and WMP attracted the highest number of participating bidders, 134 and 127 respectively.
