Maximize Millennials & Prepare for Gen Z
After several years of assisting organizations with generational challenges, Career Growth has
developed a two pronged approach for addressing this critical issue which is escalating as the
“last” of the Millennials are entering the workforce and Gen Z is preparing to enter.
Since much of the “angst” with Millennials is being experienced by their managers, Maximize
Millennials and Prepare for Gen Z is an instructor led, half day course that focuses on the
specific challenges, problems, and issues that managers experience. It provides targeted,
proven techniques and strategies for coping with Millennials and their:
 Need for constant feedback, recognition, and support
 Desire for changing, challenging tasks - not routine, “boring tasks”
 “Meaningful” work
 Expectations for learning, growth and advancement
 Challenges when working with Boomers (customers and co-workers)
The course focuses on managers:
 analyzing their “real life” challenging situations with Millennial employees
 understanding the “reasons” for Millennial beliefs, values and behaviors (why they are
the way they are)
 identifying “adaptive managerial behaviors” designed to improve employee motivation,
performance and engagement
 developing employee specific action plans – which adaptive behaviors and other
approaches the manager will implement
 understanding the critical role they play in the performance and retention of Millennials
Following the course, Career Growth is offering a two-hour “bonus” session for senior leaders HR and OD Opportunities. This session discusses how other organizations are changing their
culture, policies, and practices - primarily in the areas of recruitment, development,
performance management and retention – to maximize the Millennial potential and prepare
for Gen Z. Managers can only do so much; the organization must address issues related to
Millennial and Gen Z expectations, such as:





State of the art technology, social media and networking
Flexible work schedule with “reasonable” hours
Learning and development opportunities
Coaching and mentoring
Teamwork, inclusion, being part of something
This special opportunity includes the half day Maximize Millennials & Prepare for Gen Z (20
