How I see my role
As elected head of the club my responsibilities are towards the overall running of the
entire club. The overseeing of the committee, team managers, coaches, bar coordinator
and members.
Chairperson at meetings, club events and functions.
Attend all home and away games. Usually the invited club representative at various
events and functions.
In charge of club house maintenance also pitch and ground care maintenance.
Permanent member of the Club Management Committee.
Through the structure of the Club Development Programme support the
communication and actions required to provide a sustainable future for the Club.
In the absence of President represent the Club at whatever event or function when
required.
Provide advice and assistance to any of the Committee members as required.
Provide liaison and communication between various sections of the Club.
Act as a member of a sub-committee if required or requested.
Contribute to the general standard of the Club and provide an understanding of the
ethos and codes of conduct required.
My role as Junior VP and youth organiser. Carry out duties on behalf of the President in
his absence. Attend SRU meetings on behalf of the club and report back to committee.
Be main contact for youth coaches and managers.
My targets 2015/16
To create a vibrant playing atmosphere
within the whole club and turning out full
squads at every age grade.
Also to create income and have financial
stability to allow reinvestment for the
benefit of all club players and members
To act as a main point of contact for the club, maintain records and information in
relation to queries, all administration and communications.
Process and deliver appropriate correspondence and information to and from SRU and
other clubs. Organise committee meetings and AGMs. Liaise with other club committee
members and the premises manager to ensure all appropriate administration is in
place. Attend monthly committee meetings and represent the club at other meetings
i.e. Show Society. To have a knowledge and understanding of roles and responsibilities
of other club committee members. Maintaining up to date contact details of all
committee members, coaches and team managers. Maintaining CDMS club registration
system administration section. Enter fixtures in the online diary and website for S1U16s.
Produce and adhere to budgets in conjunction with budget holders. Authorise
payments and monitor income to maintain bank account in credit. Liaise with Lisa
McGregor of GM Thomson, providers of Financial and Administrative Services, to code
transactions and produce monthly cash analysis. Sign off Sessional Coaches timesheets
and authorise wages. Advise committee on financial position at monthly meetings.
Oversee production of audited annual accounts for AGM.
To learn the roles and responsibilities of the
secretary and of the other club post holders.
To distribute the relevant information
promptly to the correct personnel to enable
them to fulfil their roles. To ensure matters
are raised as required at committee
meetings. To keep accurate records both at
club and national level.
Implement the actions from the Club
Development Programme.
I hope to increase playing numbers at S1/S2
and under 15 age groups. Learning more
about the senior positions in the club.
Maintain bank account in credit. Maintain
credit rating with suppliers and staff. Build a
bank balance in excess of £20,000 to carry
forward in 2016/17. Make a cash surplus in
financial year ending 31st March 2016.

How I see my role
Maintain accurate records of all members of the club and update accordingly. Send out
newsletter at start of season and collect subscriptions as and when they fall due. Sell
season tickets to regular attendants.

My targets 2015/16
My role as the Child Protection Officer is to ensure that young people who take part in
rugby at our club, do so in a safe environment. This includes ensuring that all coaches
are appropriately checked via the PVG Scheme, support for coaches, team managers
and committee and assisting the committee in responding to any child protection issues
raised.
Compete transfer of coaches currently on
old scheme onto the new PVG scheme
Complete PVG checks of all new coaches
Organise and hold team manager meeting
focused in child protection
Arrange child protection refresher evening
for those coaches who feel they would
benefit from this.
To ensure the club fields a minimum of two
adult teams as per fixture list. To create a
LTPD pathway to ensure healthy playing
stocks are in place to meet long term

My position within the club is two fold. As head coach I am responsible for the
implementation of all adult rugby programmes. This will include periodisation, skill
acquisition, game planning, strategies and management. To also assist players with
their physical and mental development. To put in place continued policies that enhance

How I see my role
the rugby culture of adult rugby. As coach development manager my role extends to
that of coach education within the club system. I am also responsible in the
implementation and management of sessional coaches delivering a progressive rugby
programme within the schools community system. To examine 3rd level education with
a view of developing a sustainable rugby programme and continued relationships. To
be a point of contact for all rugby matters relating to the SRU.
My targets 2015/16
objectives. To manage a team of sessional
coaches focussing on further developing an
increase of participation numbers. To build
relationships with 3rd level institution with a
remit of increasing adult playing numbers.
To act as main point of contact for U16 team for fixtures, other teams and players. To
ensure players are aware of all games, liaise with our coaches, opposition coaches and
arrange transport. Organise catering for home games. Inform Marion Goldie of
fixtures to be placed in the online diary and on the club website and ensure this is
updated with any relevant changes. Collect membership and match fees from all
players. Ensure all match fees and money from kitchen are paid over to the bar staff
and receipt received for U16 team. Keep up-to-date records for emergency contact list
for players in the event of an accident during game. Type Team list for referee and
opposition coach for each game. Send copy of team list to SRU along with score.
Designated first aider. Type match report and send to Marion Goldie to be placed on
website. Organise end of season awards lunch.
To ensure all required organisational matters
are dealt with promptly. To keep the team
and coaches well informed.
To assist coach with organising of team, making sure registration is up to date and
transport available for games. Prepare food for home games. Organise fixtures and
player availability.
Send e-mails , texts and teamer to player to keep them updated on fixtures. Also
whatever committee duties as well.
Help coach improve numbers to each
team, i.e S1 and S2
Make sure correspondence and organisation
up to date.
Good communication skills with other
counterparts and clubs.

How I see my role
Provide a safe,enjoyable coaching environment which promotes the core skills and
values of rugby.
To provide a varied and interesting training session twice a week through the season
except when we have games which are mainly Sunday mornings. To be a role model for
the young players, show them good sportsmanship and manners. To teach them
respect for other teams as well as their premises and pitches.
To coach, nurture and promote rugby skills and development to P5 girls and boys.
My targets 2015/16
Ensure boys are ready for next step up
To ensure the kitchen is fully functional and stocked ready for use, ensure all records
are up to date and the kitchen is clean and tidy after functions and match days and kept
up to standard. Organise ordering food for home games when needed and ensure there
is someone organised and available to serve the food.
Ensure the kitchen is maintained at a high
standard and that food for games and events
is planned out in advance and organised in
time for the events. Liaise with the
committee and other counterparts of the
club so that the kitchen is ready to use with
stock when needed. Ensure all equipment is
checked, PAT tested and serviced.
Targets for this year are to boost numbers at
this age group. Up the training intensity and
maybe sit my level 2 coaching course.
To increase our away fixtures out with
locality, as players have a need to better
competitions, as unbeaten in their sector
since September 2013.
