Components of a Colleague UI Form
The Colleague User Interface Window consists of two main components: the Context Area and the Main Form Area. The Main Form Area displays Colleague forms
where record information is viewed, updated, and added.
Form Area Elements

UI Form Menu •
The File menu provides the option to
save, cancel and manage your form.

The Option menu provides access to
advanced functions such as setting user
preferences, changing passwords, and
form scaling.
The Help menu provides access to
process help, field help and keyboard
shortcuts.

Context Option Menu - Select the Keep
Context Open or Auto-Close Context option
to specify what you want Colleague to do
with records in context when you save or
cancel from a form.

Form Options Include:

Save. Saves data on the current form.
Save All. Saves data on all open forms.
•
Cancel. Cancels changes on the current
form.
•
Cancel All. Cancels changes on all open
forms.

Form Search Results Panel – Grid View
Form Scale Slider - Adjusts the resolution of
the form.
Form Area Icons
Form Print - Print the information shown on the form and in
the Context Area.
Form Favorites – Add forms to Favorites folders.

Columns can be reordered and sorted.
Help- Help is available for the User Interface, the Context Area, the Search Results
Panel, and the Form Area (Process Help). Depending on your browser settings, online
help may appear in a new browser window or in the browser you are currently using.

Person Search Results Panel – Card View
Context Area Elements

Search Area - Search for a person,
organization or form. The search field dropdown provides access to your most recent
searches.

Navigation Tabs -Provides access to your
search results, the navigation menu which
displays the Colleague applications and
forms menu, and Favorites.

Colleague UI Help - Provides access to help
about the User Interface.
Context Area menu bar - Contains buttons
for mapping addresses, adding to favorites,
copying, help and closing the context card.

Person Search Results - Card View Elements

Filter- View only people, only organizations or a
combined list of both.

Results View- Toggle between Card View or Grid View of
your Search Results.

Add New Record - Add a record from the Search
Results Panel. You must search for the record from
the LookUp prompt.

Excel Export- Export your search results to MS Excel.
Person Search – Search for Person and
Organization Records
Advanced Person Search – Search for Person
and Organization Records with multiple criteria.
Context Area Favorites – Add people and
organizations to Favorites folders.
Form Search – Search for Colleague
Forms
Mapping – Map the addresses of people in the
Context Area.
Launch to Copy – Copy text from the Context
Area and paste it into another application.
