Music How to supply your music All acts must supply their music by 12 February 2017 Music can be sent directly to the MOVE IT team using websites such as WeTransfer and Dropbox (ensure that the dropbox file is a public visibility link). Please send the music file(s) to [email protected] LABEL MUSIC (see below) COMPANY NAME / SHOWCASE THEATRE / TIME AND DAY OF PERFORMANCE Please ensure that your group leader has a copy of the music file with them on a USB in case of any last minute issues. Music quality Please ensure your music is correct when submitting and follow the following guidance in order to get optimal sound in this setting and make your performance the best it can be. If you will be downloading track(s), please ensure your files have a bit rate of at least 256kbps (this is the standard quality of files available on iTunes). As a guide, a 4/8 minute song should be no larger than 5MB file size. However, AIFF files (used by Macs and Apple technology) and WAV files (used by Windows) are preferable. These files are uncompressed sound files and therefore offer a fuller sound quality - you should work with these file types if you are going to do any computer-based editing of music yourself. Rules about Music Length: Please ensure that the music supplied does not exceed the allocated time you have been given – 4 or 8 minutes. Content: MOVE IT is a family event, were therefore require all tracks to be ‘radio edit’ versions. Music which may cause offense will not be allowed. Please check your tracks for offensive language or inappropriate subject matter before submitting. If your music is found to have any offensive content during a performance you will not be able to form that piece again until the issue is resolved. Changing Faculties If possible please come fully ready to perform (including hair, make-up and costumes) as the changing facilities backstage will be shared with other colleges who will be using the space at the same time.
