$2,500 Proof of Concept / Development Grant. – Pitch an Idea (Application Form)
The Need
Describe the problem and/or challenge you are addressing. Include both larger scale challenges
and the specific problem(s) your solution is addressing. It is important to clearly describe how
you have identified this problem and how it relates to sustainability, however depth and quality
of research is not a critical part of the criteria at this stage.

What is your solution and how do you expect it to work?
Risk Management
Every plan and solution has assumptions and risks inherent. Describe what your top 3
assumptions are, and how you can validate them. Also identify what are your 3 biggest risks and
how you will mitigate them.
Why Do It?
What is special about your idea or the space that it is in? Let us know why you think it’s a good
idea and why someone would be willing to pay money for it.
Use of Funds
What do you intend to use the money on? For example, will you be seeking to conduct
laboratory experiments to prove the concept, or engaging with your market?

Let us know anything else you feel is worth mentioning, such as additional information about
your idea, team, the business or market environment your idea sits within.
