Cabbage Ball Rules
1. Cost is $100 per team.
2. Player’s age must be 13 or older.
3. Limit of 10 players per team with a minimum of 4 female players.
4. Only Cabbage Balls will be used. We will provide them.
5. Limit of 10 players on the field- 4 being outfielders.
6. Each Batter will have a starting count of 2 balls and 1 strike.
7. Time limit for each game is 1 hour or 5 innings whichever comes first. In
the event that the games innings last longer than the game will be played up
to 1 hour. Whatever inning is currently in play at the expiration of 1 hour
will be completed. No new innings will begin after 55 minutes.
8. A coin toss will be done before each game to decide the home team.
9. Base length is 60 feet.
10. No minimum or maximum pitching length.
11. Final decisions will be made by the umpire.
12. There will be no protesting. This is a fundraiser! So have fun!
13. In the case of a tie after time has expired, the International Tie Breaker
rule is in effect. Start the inning with the last out from the previous inning on
second base with no outs.

ASSUMPTION AND ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISKS
AND
RELEASE OF LIABILITY AGREEMENT
In consideration of being allowed to participate in the Co-ed Cabbage Ball Tournament held on behalf RUSSELL BAPTIST CHURCH,
RUSSELL CHRISTIAN ACADEMY, and RCA BOOSTER CLUB, (the “sponsors” and “beneficiaries”) the undersigned acknowledges,
appreciates, and agrees as follows:
1)
I acknowledge that there are risks from the physical activities involved in this program, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death,
and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist;
2)
I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE
OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation;
3)
I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation in this event, and shall conduct myself
in accordance with any rules which may be established by the sponsors. If, however, I observe any unusual significant hazard during my
presence or participation, 1 will bring such to the attention of the sponsor immediately; and
4)
I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE, INDEMNIFY, AND
HOLD HARMLESS the “sponsors” and “beneficiaries” and all of their officers, officials, agents and/or employees, other
participants sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event
("Releasees"), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property,
WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
5)
I further agree, promise and covenant not to sue, assert or otherwise maintain any claim against the “sponsors” and “beneficiaries or their
officers, agents, employees or representatives for any injury, illness, death or damage to myself arising from or in any way connected with
my participation in this activity. By signing this document, I fully recognize that if injury, illness, death or damage occurs to me while I am
engaged in this activity, I will have no right to make a claim or file a lawsuit against the “sponsors” and “beneficiaries or their officers,
agents, employees or representatives, even if they or any of them negligently cause my injury, illness, death or damage.
I HAVE CAREFULLY READ BOTH THE AND ASSUMPTION AND ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISK AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
AND FULLY UNDERSTAND THE CONTENTS. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND I SIGN IT ON MY
OWN FREE WILL. I ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT I MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN THIS ACTIVITY IF I AM UNDER THE INFLUENCE
OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS.
