West Ham United Foundation Development Centre Programme. Re-launched in January 2017, our new format of Development Centres allows for maximum learning opportunities, enjoyment and progression. Throughout the 10 week blocks of training, each player will engage in challenges and sessions to help push them onto the next level with the aim of players progressing along our ‘Elite Player Pathway’ into West Ham United Academy. The aims of the West Ham United’s Foundation Skill Centres are to provide a fun and engaging environment to aid the development of young people both through football and for football. Every session is run by highly qualified coaches who look to progress each child onto the next stage of their personal learning pathway. Following the conclusion of each 8-10 week coaching block each child will receive a report, based on their progression. Each Skill Centre will have a fixture arranged against another West Ham United Foundation Skill Centre to offer each child with the chance to show the skills they have learned in a friendly but competitive situations. Opportunities to progress onto the West Ham United Elite Talent Identification Centre are available throughout the 10 week programme with centres running at several locations across London and Essex.
