Note 1- The Team manager will be responsible for all pre tournament interfaces. He does
not need to be a player but must be 19 years or over.
Note 2- The Team captain must be a player but he can be the team manager as well. He
must be present for the entire duration of the tournament.
Note 3- The Team coach is optional. He may not be a player but is allowed to give on
court advice to players during a break.
We suggest the number of players to be at least 8 but not more than 10.
Tournament Format:

1. Teams will play doubles to games of 21. Rally point scoring. Women will receive
a 5 point handicap.
2. Tournament will consist of group round robin play follow by the playoff.
3. In the round robin, teams will play 21 points games in their group.
4. Playoff will consists of upper and lower tiers based on round robin result. All
Teams will play at least one round of playoff.
5. In the playoff, teams will play five matches, best two of three games to 21.
6. Each player can play a maximum of two games in the round robin and a
maximum of two matches in the playoff.
7. The Laws of Badminton govern all plays.
8. Tournament Nylon birds will be supplied.
9. LMBA reserves all rights to reproduce for purposes of illustration, fund raising,
advertising or publication in any manner any photographs or videos taken by
LMBA during this tournament.
Tournament day (Nov 16, 2013) schedule:
9.00am Registration for all players
9.15am Meet your competitors breakfast, team captain meeting with the referee
10.00am- Round robin group play starts
2pm (approximate)-Playoff starts.
6.30pm (approximate)- tournament ends
Prizes:
Winner Team – LMBA cup to be kept at Badminton Vancouver.
Souvenir to all players.
