RESOLUTION 02-9691
A RESOLUTION RANKING THE TOP THREE FIRMS IN ORDER OF PREFERENCE TO PROVIDE
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES FOR THE HEART OF NAPLES; APPROVING AN
ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH A. GAIL BOORMAN & ASSOCIATES; AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE,
WHEREAS, on May 1, 2002, the City Council appointed a selection committee
consisting of Council Member Clark Russell, Community Services
Director Don Wirth, Parks and Parkways Superintendent Terry Fedelem,
and Purchasing Manager Stewart Unangst, for the purpose of
establishing selection criteria, reviewing proposals submitted by
professional landscape architectural firms, setting up the interview
process, and ranking the top firms in order of preference for the
Heart of Naples -- D" Downtown Project; and
WHEREAS, the Consultant Selection Committee advertised for and reviewed
proposals from eleven firms expressing interest in providing these
services; and
WHEREAS,
the Committee interviewed three firms and has ranked the top three
firms in the following order:

Gail Boorman & Associates
J. Roland Lieber, P.A.
Outside Productions; and
the Selection Committee recommended A. Gail Boorman & Associates as
being qualified to perform these services;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NAPLES, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the following firms are hereby ranked in order of preference as
being the most qualified to serve as Landscape Architect for the
Heart of Naples:

Section 2. That an Architectural Services Agreement is hereby approved with A.
Gail Boorman & Associates to provide landscape architectural
services for street right-of-way projects and roadway median
projects for the Heart of Naples for a period of three years, a
copy of which is on file in the City Clerk's Office.
Section 3. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the Agreement
with A. Gail Boorman & Associates.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
