This year Art Reach offers the chance to work on a variety of Game Development projects that focus on the creation of games,
with opportunities to code, make game art, delve into game strategy, and/or explore board/trading card games. Wednesday and
Saturday sessions provide concentrated time to develop individual and group projects. Time is also set aside each day for gameplay
and discussion as a group.
THURSDAYS & SATURDAYS: SEMESTER 1 & 2: DRAWING, PAINTING, PRINTMAKING & SCULPTURE
with VICKY TOMAYKO
Sessions will focus on a variety of media and approaches, including drawing from the model, silk-screen printing, lithography, and drypoint etching, sketching from observation, landscape painting, and sculpture. Individual attention and freedom allow for beginners to

What is Art Reach? Art Reach is an afternoon creative immersion program offered by the Provincetown Art Association and
Museum (PAAM); sessions take place in the Museum’s professional studios and galleries. The program runs two semesters: October
through January; February through mid-May. Studio Art Sessions for 14+ meet 2x per week, Thursdays & Saturdays 3:30-6:30pm.
Gamer sessions for ages 14+ meet 2x per week, Wednesdays & Saturdays 3:30-6:30pm. Minecraft/Kerbal Tuesday sessions for 1012 year olds meet 6 Tuesdays per semester, 3:30-5:00. One or more field trips may be arranged with permission from parents. In
April student work is featured in PAAM’s galleries. Planned activities such as discussion on approaches to game design are coupled
with time to identify and realize individualized projects. Studio art sessions are structures to realize long-terms projects. You are
expected to work individually and collaboratively on projects of interest to YOU within the guidelines of each session. Materials,
instruction, snacks and transportation are offered free-of-charge.
Who is Art Reach for? Art Reach is designed to support and engage our community’s underserved young people, ages 10-21
years old. The program is founded on the tenets of positive creative youth development and the recognition that each individual
harbors creative strengths, talents, and untapped or underutilized gifts and skills. No special experience is required—just a desire
to participate and the ability to commit.
Can I visit PAAM? Contact Lynn Stanley at 508 487 1750 x13 or email [email protected] to schedule a visit. New students will
be required to attend a meeting to finalize the registration process.
Transportation: PAAM partners with the Provincetown Schools and Mercedes Cab/Funk Bus to provide transportation, which
is paid for through grants and donations. A bus to Art Reach will pick students up, starting at the Harwich Community Center
on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Contact us to discuss special arrangements for transport. (No transport provided on
Tuesdays at this time.)
How can PAAM afford to offer this program free-of-charge? PAAM seeks out funding from individuals, foundations,
corporations, local businesses, and state and federal agencies to cover the expenses of Art Reach. PAAM must adhere to rigorous
state and federal education standards to qualify for various types of funding.
Full and consistent participation helps us to continue to offer free, high-quality programs.
