Your safari begins as you board your overnight
flight from San Francisco to London.
OCTOBER 8
LONDON/NAIROBI
Morning arrival in London. Optional day room
available. Early evening return to the airport and
board your overnight flight to Nairobi, Kenya.
OCTOBER 9
AMBOSELI
Jambo! Early morning arrival in Nairobi where you
will be met by your Wildlife Safari tour manager.
Breakfast and safari briefing will be provided
before boarding our special safari vehicles and
depart by road to the Amboseli Game Reserve.
Lunch at your lodge built facing the snow-capped
peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy a late afternoon
game drive in the Amboseli Game Reserve.

AMBOSELI
Dawn is the perfect time for game viewing in the
Amboseli, just as the sun rises over Kilimanjaro.
Return to your lodge for a late breakfast and then
relax by the swimming pool. Another game drive
this afternoon around the lakes and springs fed by
the melting snows of Kilimanjaro, home to a
multitude of birds and animal species. You will be
invited to plant an acacia tree as part of the
Reforestation project funded by Wildlife Safari and
receive a certificate. Guided nature walk available
for those who wish and optional visit to the
Amboseli Elephant Research Camp.

SAMBURU
Morning transfer to the airstrip and board your
flight to the Samburu Game Reserve in semi-arid
northern Kenya. Transfer to your luxury camp, built
on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro river, occasionally
passing nomadic Samburu tribesmen with their
herds. Late afternoon game drive in Samburu,
home to the rare and unusual reticulated giraffe, the
long necked gerenuk and the Grevy’s zebra.

SAMBURU
Rise early for a special visit to a Samburu village to
observe their customs and traditions. Spend the full
day in the Samburu Game Reserve enjoying early
morning and late afternoon game drives. The
Samburu landscape is a contrast of very dry scrub
and lush palm lined oasis. Large baboon troops
feed close to the river, out of range of crocodile
basking on nearby sand banks. You may even see
leopard in the branches of a nearby acacia tree.
Optional visit to the Samburu Elephant Research
Camp.

OCTOBER 13
MOUNT KENYA
This morning’s drive takes you to the forests of
Mount Kenya. Arrive at the lodge, built deep in the
heart of the forest. Lunch followed by an afternoon
guided trek in the forest to observe the many
species of rare birds found in this area. Return to
your lodge and nestle by the warm fire. All night
game viewing of the animals, at the floodlit natural
waterhole, from the comfort of your private
balcony.

MASAI MARA
Breakfast before transferring to the airstrip to board
your flight over the Great Rift Valley to the Masai
Mara Game Reserve. Often called the “crown jewel
of Kenya”, you will become immediately aware of
the teeming wildlife herds roaming the vast plains.
Lunch and late afternoon game drive in the Masai
Mara.

MASAI MARA
A full day in the Masai Mara, with early morning
and late afternoon game viewing drives. Vast herds
of wildebeest and zebra wander across the Mara
grasslands, their numbers increasing during the
annual migration. Lion, leopard and cheetah are
never far behind, while crocodile and hippo
congregate in the Mara and Talek rivers. Your
guide may organize a full day game viewing drive
with a picnic lunch provided by the lodge.

MASAI MARA
This morning provides the perfect opportunity to do
an optional hot air balloon ride over the Mara plains
followed by brunch on the plains. Morning and
afternoon game drives in the Masai Mara. This
evening at leisure to celebrate your safari and the
last night in the bush.

NAIROBI
Enjoy a last morning game drive before transferring
to the airstrip for your short flight to Nairobi. You
will be met and transferred to the Utamaduni Centre
for lunch and last minute shopping. Optional visits
to the Daphne Sheldrick animal orphanage and/or
the Giraffe Centre.
This evening, share your favorite safari memories
during a farewell dinner in the Mandhari restaurant
located in your hotel. Evening transfer to the
airport and board your overnight flight to London.

Reservations are confirmed with a deposit of US$ 500 per
person. Final tour payment is due on August 7, 2009.
Documents will be issued approximately two weeks prior to
departure. Air fares and departure taxes are subject to change
until ticketed.

INSURANCE:
Due to the high cancellation penalties, we strongly
recommend trip cancellation and interruption insurance for the
full amount of the land and air cost. Insurance information
forms will be provided to you on receipt of your deposit.
Insurance for the full value of the tour cost is available at the
rate of US$483.00 per person.
SINGLE ROOMS:
In the event of one person in a room, the single room
supplement will apply.

Zoo. and its agents act only as agents for the passenger with
respect to services provided, included but not limited to,
hotels, restaurants, sightseeing, and all forms of transportation.
All tour services are provided by independent operators who
are not owned or controlled by Wildlife Safari (USA) Inc.
While all reasonable precautions have been taken in order to
make these tours as safe as possible for all tour passengers and
others, Wildlife Safari (USA) Inc., Oakland Zoo and its agents
shall not be responsible or liable for any injury, loss, damage,
delay or inconvenience arising out of , or in connection with,
any defect in any vehicle or any act, including any acts of
terrorism, industrial action, acts of governments and God,
omission, neglect, accident, error or omission in the provision
of any services contracted for. All travel involves some
measure of personal risk that the passenger has to determine.
Wildlife Safari (USA) Inc. and Oakland Zoo, reserve the right
to accept or decline any passenger from participating on any
of our tour programs for any reason.
The sole and exclusive responsibility and liability of United
Airlines and Kenya Airways shall be in accordance with and
as limited by the contract of carriage in the passenger’s ticket,
the applicable tariffs and the provisions of the Warsaw
Convention. United Airlines and Kenya Airways shall not be
responsible or liable for any act, omission or occurrence
during the time passengers are not on board its’ aircraft. All
tour services, other than transportation provided by United
Airlines or Kenya Airways, are provided by independent
contractors that do not act on behalf of United Airlines or
Kenya Airways, and with whom United Airlines or Kenya
Airways does not have any business association or
