Mark Baxa serves as Vice President; Global Procurement
Strategic Sourcing for Monsanto, a publically traded
multinational agrichemical and agricultural biotechnology
corporation headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. In his
present capacity, Mark leads global teams accountable
for delivering excellence in Global Supplier Relationship
and Quality Management; Strategic Sourcing, Supplier
Sustainability, and Diversity; and leads the Global Supply
Chain collegiate talent pipeline and procurement
communications strategy.
Baxa serves as Officer and 1st Vice President for the
Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals
(CSCMP) Global Board of Directors. In his most recent role
with CSCMP, Baxa served on the Board of Directors as
Roundtable Chair, and is past-President of the St. Louis
CSCMP Roundtable.
Additionally, Baxa serves as a member of the Saint Louis
University Council for Supply Chain Management Studies
Steering Committee as well as co-chairs and teaches the
Advanced International Trade Management Certificate
Program. He is a Charter Member and Incorporator of the
St. Louis Trade Compliance Practitioners Roundtable and
served on the St. Louis City / Lambert International
Shippers Council, is a frequent keynote speaker, and is
active in church leadership in Washington, Missouri.
Baxa’s care and concern for the development of his
people is well noted. His previously held leadership roles
across multiple organizations include Global Trade
Operations and Compliance, Global Customer Service and
Logistics, Marketing and Sales Management. Baxa has
received a number of industry leadership achievements
and awards, participated on numerous boards and
designed executive education coursework. He is a
promoter of the profession, believer in continuous
learning, and is devoted to helping people grow in the
profession.
He has previously published in periodicals such as CSCMP
Quarterly, Logistics Management and Logistics Today.
