Admissions: New Applicant Online ID Verification
Step 1
Step 2
ID Verification is based on several different factors. To continue, follow the steps below.
If
Then
A Credit/Noncredit applicant selected Foreign
Nonimmigrant in the Lawful Presence field.
Proceed to Step 2.
A Clock application selected Foreign Nonimmigrant in
the Lawful Presence field.
Proceed to Step 3.
An applicant did not select Foreign Nonimmigrant in the
Lawful Presence field.
Proceed to Step 4.
After clicking Save & Next on the previous
page, the How to Submit Your ID for
Authentication displays.
The applicant will click SUBMIT AS EFORM OR IN PERSON.
The Welcome to Maricopa Community
Colleges screen displays. This message
contains:





Confirmation message
Student ID
Username (MEID)
Maricopa Email Address
Next Steps section outlining what
the student must do to complete
their admission
The web application process is complete
for Credit/Noncredit applicants that
selected Foreign Nonimmigrant as their

Keep in mind
Applicants that selected F1, F2, M1, or M2
visa types were stopped during account
creation or in the application. They will not
submit their ID using this process.

After clicking Save & Next on the previous
page, the How to Submit Your ID for
Authentication displays.
The applicant will click SUBMIT AS EFORM OR IN PERSON.
The Welcome to Maricopa Community
Colleges screen displays. This message
contains:





Confirmation message
Student ID
Username (MEID)
Maricopa Email Address
Next Steps section outlining what
the student must do to complete
their admission
The web application process is complete
for Clock applicants that selected Foreign

The applicant has two options to continue.

When a Credit/Noncredit applicant clicks
SUBMIT AS E-FORM OR IN-PERSON,
they will be prompted to confirm they want
to skip ID verification. Click OK to
continue.

When a Clock applicant clicks SUBMIT AS
E-FORM OR IN-PERSON, they will be
prompted to confirm they want to skip ID
verification. Click OK to continue.

The ID Verification Instructions page

After the student clicks START
VERIFICATION (DESKTOP), they will see
the ID Verification Confirm Your Email
screen.
The student must check their email for the
Maricopa Community Colleges
Identification ID for Verification email. After
they receive the email, they will return to
the ID Verification Confirm Your Email
screen. The student will copy/paste the
code in to the Identification ID field and
click the Submit button. If the student
needs the email to be resent, the student
can click the Re-Send Identification ID
button to receive another confirmation
email.
Once the Identification ID code is
submitted, the ID Verification Upload
Documents screen display.
The applicant will click CAPTURE FRONT
OR PASSPORT and take a picture or
upload a picture of the front of the driver
license from their photo library. They will
then repeat the same steps when they
click CAPTURE BACK.
Click SUBMIT DRIVER
LICENSE/PASSPORT.
The Processing Your Application screen
displays while the identification is verified

by the third-party that the license is valid
and the admission form is processed.
When the ID processes, the Creating
Maricopa ID Account screen displays.
Then the Choose New Password screen
displays. On this screen, the applicant will
set their Student Center password.
Keep in mind:
If the student enters the Identification ID
incorrectly, they will have 4 more attempts
to enter a valid Identification code.
After the fifth failed attempt, they cannot
proceed and must contact the Admissions
Office.
The identification is verified by the thirdparty that the license is valid and the
admission form is processed.
Admissions staff will have to verify
residency using current processes if they
did not qualify for residency based on their
responses in the web application.
As noted on the screen, if a student is
attempting to use Internet Explorer or

Edge to upload their document, they will
not be able to do so.
If a student is using their passport, they
can upload the picture of their passport
using the CAPTURE FRONT/PASSPORT
button and skip CAPTURE BACK.
If a student attempts to upload a document
that is poor quality, they will receive a
message indicating there error messages.

An applicant selected Credit or
Noncredit as their academic career

Proceed to Step 10.

After the student clicks START
VERIFICATION (MOBILE), they will see
the Mobile ID Verification screen.
When the Mobile ID Verification screen
displays, the student must leave, but not
close, the current window and go to their
email. In the Maricopa Community
Colleges Identification ID for Verification
email, copy the ID code and click the Start
Maricopa ID Verification link.
Once the student clicks Start Maricopa ID
Verification link in the email, the ID
Verification Confirm Your Email screen
appears in a new window. To verify their
account, they’ll enter the Identification ID
from the email and click the Submit
button. If the student needs the email to be
resent, the student can click the Re-Send
Identification ID button to receive another
confirmation email.
The ID Verification Upload Documents
screen displays. The student will click
CAPTURE FRONT/PASSPORT and take

a picture or upload a picture of the front of
the driver license from their photo library.
They will then repeat the same steps when
they click CAPTURE BACK.
Click SUBMIT DRIVER
LICENSE/PASSPORT.
Once the Identification ID is submitted, the
student will see the ID Verification –
Thank You screen directing them to go
back to the “computer” they initially started
on. Students should return to the web
browser they initially started the application
that has the Mobile ID Verification
screen.
When the ID processes, the Creating
Maricopa ID Account screen displays.
Then the Choose New Password screen
displays. On this screen, the applicant will
set their Student Center password.

Keep in mind:
The Mobile ID Verifications screen does
not minimize automatically. The student
must go to their email to copy the code
and open a new link. The ID verification
screen will display. The Mobile ID
Verification screen must stay open in the
background. If the student closes this
screen, they will have to resubmit their ID.
If the student enters the Identification ID
incorrectly, they will have 4 more attempts
to enter a valid Identification code.
