Coaches Message
Dear Players/Prospective Players,
Well here we are pre- season 2015, ready to start laying the foundation for next season to improve our
position in Division 1 Amateur League.
Welcome to all the new coaches, players and staff that have joined the club over the off season. It is
paramount to our clubs success across all grades that we communicate and are able to create an
atmosphere where by we are getting the best possible outcomes in development and success on and off
field for our players as individuals and as teams moving into next season and beyond. It is very important
that we as a team continue to improve both on and off the field as we strive to meet all the challenges
that come as we strive to build a sustained standard of success in division 1.
In closing it has been fantastic that we have been able to keep almost everyone from last year’s playing
group and add several new players to this already talented group. It is very important we have a big preseason and do the extra that is needed to prepare for next season. As I have said before TALENT is
worthless unless you have the DESIRE to do the HARD WORK needed to LAY THE FOUNDATION ON
WHICH SUSTAINED SUCCESS IS BUILT UPON.

Club Recommendations To All Players To Obtain Own:
Income Protection
This insurance covers you in the event that you are injured outside of your workplace and the injury
prevents you from your earning capacity within your normal employment. Many Superannuation Funds
have this insurance inbuilt at a cost from your payments made by your employer.
Private Health Insurance
As the above Player Accident/Injury Insurance is limited in its capacity it is recommended that all Players
obtain their own Private Health Insurance.
Ambulance Cover
As the above Player Accident/Injury Insurance is limited in its capacity it is recommended that all Players
obtain their own Ambulance Cover as well.

Gym Opening Hours
o Gym will be open on the off training nights till 7.30PM.
o We will be aiming to have an extra night in the training over preseason.
o If Training is Monday, Wednesday the Gym will be obviously open the Tuesday / Thursday.
o Opening Hours are 4.30PM to 7.45PM
o No keys will be handed out to Players to keep.
o Only PDFC players for season 2015 will be entitled to use the facilities here at PDFC

Training
Training is Monday & Wednesday 6PM Largs Reserve.
Training is at the club unless otherwise advised and on the above nights until advised.
Some Saturday mornings training will be required - check the Port Districts players Facebook page.

Port District has approximately three hundred members and has been seen as The Port District Football Club since 1979.
Previous to this our club was formed from two great clubs Semaphore Centrals and Exeter United. In 1979, they came together
to form one great club, Port District Football Club.

Sponsorship costs $450 ex GST ($350 ex GST for Under 18 Players) and is fully (tax deductable)
As my player sponsor you will be assisting in paying my club fees for season 2015, you and your business partner or personal
partner will be invited to a Sponsors day, during our home and away season with lunch and drinks provided at half time of our
senior game. You will also receive a photo of your sponsored player that you can place in your place of business with
recognition of sponsoring at our football club and that same photo will be placed in our club with your business name clearly
identified.
It is a great inexpensive way of getting involved in a local club and community in which you will broaden your network of
potential business in the community and may assist in developing many working or personal partnerships for years to come.
