This year they will parade in Bayou Vista beginning on Delmar St. at its intersection with Jupiter Rd., proceed to Venus Rd., Saturn Rd., Southeast Blvd., Canal St., Teche Rd., Fairmont Ave., back to Southeast Blvd., and conclude on Belleview St. KREWE OF ADONIS PARADE The all male Krewe of Adonis kicks off the Mardi Gras season and is the only organized night parade. Organized in 1975, this year the Krewe celebrates its 42nd anniversary. FA IR MYRTLE MYRTLE FINISH Auditorium KREWE OF GALATEA PARADE Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017 • 2 p.m. • Morgan City This female Krewe can be traced back to 1969. The parade includes 16 floats with special throws and marching bands. The parade route will begin on Second St. under the La. 182 bridge and proceeds north to Onstead St., Sixth St., Marguerite St., Hwy. 70/Ninth St., Clothilde to Victor II Blvd., ending at the Municipal Auditorium on Myrtle St. MO NT SOUTHEAST FINISH START 182 RN SATU HWY Parade will start at the intersection of Victor II Blvd/Myrtle Street, proceed down Victor II Blvd., then left onto Brashear Ave., right onto Ninth St., then left onto Marguerite Street, right onto Sixth St., left onto Onstead St. then left onto Federal Ave. The parade will end on the Corner of Brashear Ave. and Federal Ave. by MD Shannon School. This Krewe dates back to 1914 and is St. Mary Parish’s largest Mardi Gras association. This parade will begin at Franklin Senior High School on Main St. It travels east on Main St., making a U-turn and then continues onto Willow St. The parade then turns right onto Third St., disbanding at the end of Third St. Beginning on the corner of Sixth and Sycamore Streets, it proceeds south on Sixth St. to Marguerite St. to Ninth St./Hwy. 70, to Clothilde St., to Victor II Blvd. and ending at the Morgan City Auditorium on Myrtle St. START BALDWIN MARDI GRAS PARADE Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017 • 12 Noon • Baldwin One of the newest parades in St. Mary Parish. Begins on Hwy. 182/Main St. at the Sager-Brown facility, continues down Hwy. 182/Main St., turns left onto Martin Luther King Blvd., turns right on Bollard St., ending at Baldwin Community Center on Bollard St. HWY 182/MAIN ST.
